Anyone for running?

Totally off topic of sex....yes I know shocking lol.

I want to take up running and wondered if there was anyone in the area local to me who is looking for a running partner....needs to be patient, I'm new to running.

Just beats running on my own.

Musselburgh area...

Thanks

"Which gym"
Pure Gym at Stenhouse. I know it's a bit out your area but the offer is there if you want to. Drop me a PM if you fancy it. I'm going tomorrow morning after dropping my son at school

Jog Scotland is an Excellent way to get in to running. They help set realistic goals and build you up with similar people. Once you are able to run 5k or so running clubs can be good.

If you ever want to run swimming or cycling then triathlon clubs are a great place to go as they usually do all 3. My tri club does ladies beginners running sessions.

Hope you enjoy it and stick in to reach your goals.

I ran the Glasgow 10k today with my friend from Fab with only 6 weeks of training and despite being top heavy

Pity you are so far away.

Maybe we could start a fab running club. That could make races interesting

xxx

Used to run 3 or 4 miles twice a week but had to give up as I suffered bad joint pain next day. Do short sprints now, feel better for it and no joint pain

Edinburgh Leisure have classes for joggers at all levels. If you want, I can do a Mussleburgh run - nice and flat there - if you can go as slowly as me!

Shockabsorber best brand. Apparently!

I run loads so happy to hear from other runners and motivate each other. Kiwi - get some outdoor clothing for running in winter. Fresh air is good gor you.

I want to start running, I just need the motivation to actually get out and do it. I'm so unfit though and it'll be awful to see just how much I struggle

One you start you wish you'd done it sooner. The best way is to go to jog Scotland and meet people of similar abilities with a coach who knows what they are doing.
