I want to get out for more socials but they seem to be few and far between so been toying with the idea of organising some myself or at least a night out but not to sure what I am doing av asked in other threads about bits and pieces like the obvious keep the venue secret till the last minute

but now I am wondering some things like how much notice to give between advertising it in the forum and the date. What's the best way to go just make it a night out? should you book a table in the pub? should you still charge for a night out to ensure attendance? is it better to give it a theme or just make it a general invite? should you leave off accepting males until you know youv got a decent amount of couples and females?

any and all advice appreciated

Put up a meet n take it from there, don't give out where it is until kinda last minute. Even if mostly makes it can still be a good night... At the end of the day it's a social

No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

Socials are a bit more work involved than just a drinks night .

Always have a venue and date in mind before posting details on the forums .

A male organising a social and limiting males isnt going to go down well for single ladies maybe looking to hook up with single guys so socials should be open to everyone if its just a social .

My only exception was i didnt accept people on my block list for obvious reasons.

Good luck with it if you decide to do one .

Also make sure date doesn't clash with anything unless it's a pre drink night
