I voted at 7.15 am and have been squeaky bum since. Can't believe it's only 8.30pm. About 9/10 hours to declaration. Might go uptown. Probably atmospheric.

Longest day when BRITISH FORCES along with our Allies stormed the beaches of Normandy.

There were many "longest days" during that conflict and many before and after. And yes I got your point. Maybe the OP is keen to see us staying together. Today is another historic day for us all, whatever the outcome.

I hadn't associated my post with WW2. Not my thinking. I do want a NO but wasn't trying to use the connection.

Think the association is more to do with the BRITISH connection.

I'm staying up all night... Vodka needed! I have a funny feeling I know what the result will be but I won't be sleeping anyway, so nervous!

I'm with you all night, boaby. In the nervous sense, of course.

I think we all are my love but if I hear one more fanny shouting 'freedom' round my area this bottle will be getting flung out the window...

It's been a long day and I also feel a bit nervous.

Let's hope we all don't fight amongst ourselves when we hear the outcome

This is my main worry. All it takes is some silly people on either side to start a riot.

People have to remember that if Yes do win then the Yes camp have to be very careful what they say or do or they might just get a big F/O from England. I hope we have no more burning of the Union flag.

Wow. I've seen a few fannies in my life but none have said anything far less freedom.
