aggressive ? chip on shoulder ? hate the world ?

Jump to newest

Just wondering if there is a job description that suits this type of person and what it would be ? My thinking is if you went along for any job and put across the attitude of being aggressive argumentative and had a chip on your shoulder do you think many people would hire you ???

Or when filling in the application form would you put that as a quality or a skill

Just been reading some comments and threads in general today and got me thinking why people think they will get anywhere in life with that attitude of rubbing people constantly up the wrong way . Maybe it's their way of getting rid of built up frustration?

Can anyone enlighten me please ??

I always find that a message can come across wrong. Never have an argument in a text, as something can be totally hamless and took the wrong way!

People say I'm agressave in messages but once you know me and my personality, I'm actually not

Perhaps who knows, just baffles me. Even if I'm having a shit day I find trying to get myself into a happy place is better than having a go at folk.

Oh and for the record this isn't aimed at anyone in particular

Just saying

Guilty of being a huge wind up merchant, some people can take it, others spit the dummy and default to the old "breach of forum rules" and play supergrass.

Aggressive, chip on shoulder I used to do a job where a lot if my colleagues _iewed that as a prerequisite for the job. I'd see them both as neither skills or qualities but character defects/flaws.

I always try & stay happy even when I'm pissed off with someone on here, no need to put everyone in a down/shitty mood.

Although sometimes I do think it can be the way someone says something via written communication which if was said to you could be taken completely different xx

Even though I may feel I try to and just don't see the point in being .

Some people thrive on controversy and anger. I'll stick with my silly sense of humour. It's helped me get through a lot of trials. I'll fight my corner though...and that of those I love and I won't take any nonsense but I'm glad happy is my natural disposition. I always think angry people must be so very unhappy inside.

What some seem to have decided is aggressive chip on shoulder argumentative can be nothing more than an opinion maybe not in every case... some would say a worse trait than having an opinion is being two faced saying whatever is needed to gain what they want or constant flirting why not just msg them perhaps the two forms need to leave each other alone for those who just want flirty non opinionated debate make sunshine n happyville posts if these folk want to use the debating type posts keep the fluffy stuff out it

I have seen a lot of chips on shoulders of late I think if it came to the point I had to always resort to cheap digs I'd leave the site I always thought this was a fun site but for some it's a tacky cheap way of throwing insults.

I personally have been slated off three people who I have never met although it came from a 4th person who I was always friendly to encouraged to join in on the forums Attend socials & cjs. Although I feel kind of hounered that my name was on their minds & lips that night

The more public issues are made the more drama is made ....the more said in public the more people want to know and find out what's happening....but many seem to love the drama and bring it onto a public forum and to me if you don't want the drama why post it for all to see, for all to assume for all to add heads and tails too....it's a vicious circle that seems to keep happening especially on the Scottish forums and really doesn't look great to the non regulars .....

Me I just wanna be a happy go lucky person that uses the site as a lifestyle choice as and when needed, no dramas and no vendettas .

Sure I read about an open forum post yesterday

It's a swingers site where people flirt have a laugh and in general are nice to one another . Well then again there's always the "odd expection"

I don't mind people having opinion it's the total manner in which it's conveyed . But when it's people being spoken to like they are crap on someone's shoes I personally think it's rude . Me personally , it's not my style . Would rather be flirty smiley and happy in my own wee bubble than sad ,angry and come across as angry and snide to everyone who's not deemed worthy!!

As I said at start not aimed at anyone in particular just seems to be a lot of it going on lately .

The sun has its hat on hip hop hip hooray

Perhaps I'm wrong who knows, bit given the fact that it's a swingers site isn't constant flirting a given? As for happyville and sunshine posts I'd much rather have them than those about how much better forums used to be before the newbies fucked up the neighbourhood, or people making personal attacks, having their arse handed to them on a plate in response and then going whining to mods and having threads pulled to save face. Have to dash....they're double dosing on the delusional meds tonight

I have to deal with people with chips on their shoulder and just generally angry in work most days so it's very off putting when you see it on here.

I like to use this as a form of escapism and I've got a very low tolerance for the keyboard gangsters on the site. When it comes to PMs my block button is being used more often than not now, which I find quite sad. A simple 'no thanks' should not result in a tirade of abusive messages.

I personally try to take everything I read on here with a pinch of salt, especially what I write.

I used to moderate a chat forum, it was a difficult task and one that was in.the main thankless.

I've read somewhere that 80% (approx) of communication is lost in text, eye contact, body language etc...

How many times have you read a book then seen the film and thought "I wish I never did" this is a rule of thumb I use and it works fine.

Aren't you continually banging on about how people can post what they like? You don't like it so interject with snide comments as demonstrated in your post in another thread where a new member asked for advice on messages? Snide remarks you choose to ignore? Funny I saw a couple from you aimed at others last night so yeah you're probably right others can see for themselves

Tbh it's never gonna change until those who have issues with each other have it out with each other ....until then there's always gonna be snipes and bitching....then back stabbing then heads and tails added then more people talking thus a soap opera thus forum posts like these.....

If I have am issue with someone I talk to that person I am not the type to let it ware me down I face issues head on and expect the same of others.....I have no time for people with vendettas I say man up and face each other and have it out and move on....

"Guys... Wtf is a happy clappy? "
pmsl bj only explanation I can find is Happy-clappy, or , is a derogatory term originating in the United Kingdom, referring to a style of Christianworship particularly evident in Evangelicaland Pentecostal churches. The term came into household knowledge in that country in the late 1990s after a reported remark by the former Archbishop of Canterbury Robert Runcie, criticising what he perceived as the shallowness of such worship.[1]

This style of worship involves joyful congregational worship songs, often accompanied by acoustic guitars and drums in which the congregation clap along to the rhythm of the song, or raise one or both hands in the air, and occasionally dance. Christian critics of this style of worship, of which Runcie was one, object to what they perceive as simply the rousing of emotion rather than properly focusing on God. Supporters counter that this style is more relevant and therefore accessible to ordinary people.

Unlike many derogatory terms, it has not been adopted by groups that practice it, who prefer to call it "charismatic" or "spirit-led" worship.

Here we go again

If you have an opinion your causing trouble with a chip on your shoulder

Think the only posts not highjacked with flirting is the political posts but even those have the oh here we go again remarks

As it's been said a 1000 times if your not interested in the post don't post

Iv made an effort not to get involved in people's drama

I don't know them and never will

But anyone with half a brain know who everyone's talking about

Think it's to do with the same people on here 24-7

Nothing better to do obviously

Happy swinging

just for clarification, I mentioned happy clappy as it seems to always boil down to people being one way or the other. I am not disingenuous to either.

There are truly posts for all, but I have always asked is there truly aneed to take over every one, that's all.
