Just a curiosity matter here. Been in the Scotland chat room a few times over the past few days and I always say good morning/afternoon/evening and ask how everyone is and every time I have been blatantly ignored. Is this the norm for the Scotland chat room? Seems to be one wee group chatting to each other and if anyone else tries to join in the chat they are ignored as if not welcome. Maybe someone can enlighten me?

It happens to me at times too but I tend to say eh hellooo good morning anyone ?? And make the point lol . Sometimes you need to be a bit more direct .

Good luck

it does tend to depend on time of day... it happens a lot, but don't despair, just jump into conversations and try and join in, folk will chat

Do you expect folk to drop their conversations to speak solely to you would you ditch a convo with your freinds if a random person shouted across a bar hello some folk take time they get so tired of saying hello back to be greeted with stunning babes take your top off so some wait and see if your worth talking to or just another camwanker hang in it changes with time

Just hang in there I personally don't use them but must have done one night when I had a few gallons in me well I woke up to cam verifications but I can't keep up with the convos so tend not to join in for that reason only

Stick with it, you will build a network. It just takes time.

I used to be a regular in the Old School style chat room but hardly use it now because it can be clique and as I don't use it I'm not part of the clique

Keep trying though you never know

I don't expect this at all. If you read my original post you will see I was trying to join in the conversation and banter that was already happening. Plus it is decent manners to at least acknowledge someone. And I was brought up with the belief manners cost nothing. Maybe just me though....

Been on a few times myself, I've experienced the same.

Not trying to hijack convos but a reciprocal hello is courteous and convivial.

I have only experienced this in the Scotland room though.

If i am in chat i always try and say hello , but being a moderator in chat I can be busy doing other things and not always see a hi as i could be checking a profile or perhaps removing a director , which means i am on a different page , but hang in there . Yes the regs talk to each other and yes loads of them have met and socialise together so it can be hard getting in on the chat, we were all new at one time and look at them all now .

Thanks for the reply, I do understand that people know each other and everything else you mention, the point for me that highlights something I think some people forget.

Everyone was new at one point. Will keep popping in though

Stopped using the chatrooms as it turns into something akin to a shark feeding frenzy the minute a woman takes her top/bra off and some of the guys turn into embarrassing slobbering cretins

I used to go in the chatrooms but it was too much for me. I couldn't keep up so I will stick to the forums instead
