Firstly before anyone gets a bee in their bonnets Just want to make it clear and clarify this is not aimed at any particular member/members , but to everyone who has put their names down to attend this event.

Having been on the forums a lot lately , watched the disputes,arguments and what not. Also having several people on friends list or hotlisted others to make it easier to contact for social details , it has become clear that there are several conflicts amongst lots of different members. The updates and constant bickering the threats and people leaving and returning under new usernames etc . It's all gotten a bit out of hand and we feel that this needs saying !!

IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS OF USING THIS SOCIAL AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO RUB PEOPLE UP THE WRONG WAY . TO CONFRONT PEOPLE OR START ANY TROUBLE WHATSOEVER THEN YOU WILL NOT BE WELCOMED AT THIS EVENT .

Too much time and effort has been spent trying to ensure this will be a great night for all attending . People have spent a lot of money on hotels , arranging time off work , booking travel , buying outfits and arranging childcare to come and have a great time , socializing with friends and making new ones. So please guys if you can't come and behave then remove your names from the list. If you are insisting on causing issues then your names will be removed and money refunded or details won't be issued if you've not paid .

It's not expected for everyone to get on with everyone . No one is that naive . There are people no doubt coming along that we ain't on their Xmas card list ,however we are all adults and can go a night out and stay clear of ones that don't like us or vice versa .

So just to summarise again .

This is a Christmas social night out for people enjoying themselves, having a good time , enjoying people's company , having a drink , a laugh and a wee dance . Meeting up with friends and making new ones . If you have any other ideas then please take it up with them elsewhere not here .

A Social is not the time or place and our guarantee is that any sniff of trouble by anyone on the night will be removed from the premises there and then . No excuses !!

We won't let everyone else's nights be ruined because people can't conduct themselves in a manner that's sociably acceptable. And this should go for all socials or clubs not just this one !!!!

Sorry if this upsets anyone or they are thinking it's aimed at them but we agreed to take this social on and as organisers we won't tolerate this kind of stuff .

So hopefully this puts an end to it and we can all look forward to a successful busy and fun night out .

This is why I stay away from socials a lot, just the threats I get if people see my face there when I haven't done a thing. I shouldn't let it bother me but I'd rather go and enjoy a night out with people I like, then the risk of anything happening, not on my part, ruining people's nights.

What you've said is spot on and I hope everyone that is going, whether they like each other or not, keeps the drama away and has a fabby night.

It's terrible that people feel they can't attend a night out because of these things being am issue . So many people say "this site is just for fun , it's not their lives." Yet go about allowing it to consume them to a degree that they get so wound up by others they want to confront them and go to lengths of attending them to rile others .

Personally I wouldn't give anyone the satisfaction of going to the bother of attending if it wasn't for me to enjoy myself.

Anyways thanks for the support and positive feedback and let's focus on it being a superb night and folk leave thinking they are glad they came along

We have been lucky enough to attend the last few Christmas socials and had a ball. If there was any underlying current of unrest going on then, we have been oblivious to it. Would like to think it would be the same this time. We really appreciate the efforts organisers go to bringing these events to fruition so that we basically turn up on the night and have a great time. There's usually plenty of peeps to talk to and we never manage get around everyone. By that same token there's no need to interact with people you would rather avoid, there's loads more to choose from.

We always enjoy the socials regardless and have never picked up on any issues. No one can be on everyone's Xmas card list, we are all very different creatures, but we hope that all who attend have a great night. That is our intention anyway.

This will be our first social so really looking forward to it. Did not anticipate for one minute the prospect of any trouble at these events! Jeez we are all adults and all there for the same reason after all!! To have fun, drinking, dancing having a laugh, getting to meet new peeps! It's a bit sad that Shelley and Iain actually had to post this message, but hopefully having done so we can all enjoy what looks like a very well organized night.
