ive not personally received any verbal abuse on here but it amazes me the level of verbal abuse message posts ive read that some ppl get on here does anyone police this shit and sling the perpetrators off the site .

Sadly, as in life there will always be abuse, the internet allows it to happen more than face to face.

It can be minimised but not eradicated. Filters, reporting thr abuse, the block button, no reaction to any as that just fuels it, no thread announcing and giving the abuser the recognition that they have upset you.

Reporting & allowing admin to look at the messages from both sides gives them context you don't always get from a one sided thread and action can be taken.

I've been on the receiving end of abuse many times, as _iew said report block and forget these idiots because they ain't worthy of your time

We have had it a couple of times. Directed at us both, and directed at mrs directly in a particularly abusive and personal manner.

If the abuse isn't directed at you then how do you know the circumstances surrounding what has been said

The abuse might actually just be a couple of people having a laugh in the way they enjoy. There is no harm in that we are all adults with different personalities.

I wouldn't get involved by blocking and reporting unless it's directed at you personally.

There are too many on here that stick there nose in and report any chance they get without knowing the reason why someone has said it.

There is a difference between a bit of banter and someone being called fat and ugly thats to me isnt acceptable but i know everyone may have different opinions on that

Me, yeah, I get banned all the time for abuse

so frustrating! Haha!! Nah, it's really a joke between friends "banter" but people looking in on it would think "god, that's harsh"

Being called fat and ugly isn't acceptable your right but if the comments aren't aimed at you then why have you posted all this?

totally agree Auds

no one should be subjected to this kind of abuse from anyone.

If you dont get on with someone or dont like what they have to say then simply block and move on.

people who are use their status updates to do this are only proving who has the problem and that they have totally lost control of the situation in the first place so use the abuse out of frustration .
