Went to see the african queen at the cinema earlier, and got to thinking (i know, its dangerous when i do that) if it was to be remade now who would be cast in it ?

After much deliberation i settled on Kevin Spacey and Juliette Binoche.

so i will throw it out to fabland, if you could remake a classic which film would you choose and who would you cast ?

I have never seen the film, but always remember a friends father having a model of the boat when I was younger.

Linwood

Would like to try to re-make some Hitchcock films (or Kubrick).

But that would I'd be scared of the "double edged sword" feeling that my re-makes would get panned for trying to re-do Hitchcock & Kubrick films.

So best leave these 2 great directors work/films

good call, not so sure about Robbie Coltrane though, would need to be somebody that looks more like an accountant/civil servant, Dan Akroyd maybe.

Been laughing at myself choosing certain films and quickly concluding,,"na it was perfect, cant alter it one wee bit".

One flew over the cuckoo's nest, prime example ?

I would love to see remake of Back to the Future. But next year, so going back to 30 years to 1985, the year of the original! Haven't thought about the cast though. Throwing that open to suggestions.
