"Went to see the african queen at the cinema earlier, and got to thinking (i know, its dangerous when i do that) if it was to be remade now who would be cast in it ? After much deliberation i settled on Kevin Spacey and Juliette Binoche. so i will throw it out to fabland, if you could remake a classic which film would you choose and who would you cast ?" true story

"Would like to try to re-make some Hitchcock films (or Kubrick). But that would I'd be scared of the "double edged sword" feeling that my re-makes would get panned for trying to re-do Hitchcock & Kubrick films. So best leave these 2 great directors work/films " very true, the psycho remake is good evidence of this.

"Re do the original Jaws, better special effects etc. Russel Crowe playing Robert Shaws part. George Clunie as the Sheriff, (the hero, survivor of course) Ewan McGregor as the exciteable marine biologist. Robbie Coltrane as the town mayor who still wants the beach open etc." good call, not so sure about Robbie Coltrane though, would need to be somebody that looks more like an accountant/civil servant, Dan Akroyd maybe.

"Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger 1969" Class SNF quality, doubt any remake could hold up against it
