"Some people block if you've said no so they don't message you again by mistake " makes it easier to know who's time not to waste if they or you have already said no.

"I block if they annoyed me in chat or if they dont take no for an answer ... what I dont understand though is the ones that block even though you have never uttered a word to them....or blocked by association i.e who you have on your friends list or socialise with "

"We've usually blocked people who have read our initial message and just deleted it without a reply. Not being huffy, we just assume they're not interested and block them so we don't message them again by mistake in the future. It is a bit weird, on the odd occasion, when you get blocked out the blue by people you think you've been getting on great with. Everyone's different I guess. It would definitely make it awkward though if you ended up at the same party or social as the blockers! " been at a good few socials as folkthat Iive blocked makes no odds as ive already decided they dont intrest me

Suppose some folk possibly have history with them but end of the day if someone hasn't taken the time to get to know us then why judge us or our life choices when they are doing things that may well not be agreed with by many others

"Some people block if you've said no so they don't message you again by mistake " Used to do that too, so I didn't cause any hassle at a later date.

"I block people who are in chat and being knobs, people on forums who i don't ever wish to speak to, people who i think are morons etc I wouldn't speak to them in a bar so why not block them, saves me reading their nonsense in chat. Some simply aren't my cup of tea so i block them too - its my choice and ill continue. I find chat much more enjoyable that way. Don't like then thats cool - everyone has their way of using fab." Well said. People block because they can, simples!

We've said a very polite no but remained on friends list and found that through further chat here and there , maybe a pic change or 2 we have then asked them/ they have asked ,agreed and met..... And not once have we had anything other than great fun ... Never say never!!!

"Yeah , only block members who cancel meets at the last minute or constantly want to message all the time without ever getting to the point (picture hunters lol) of arranging a meeting etc. Only other time we would block is when you say your not interested and they become aggressive and rude . This has happened to us two or three times. " I do understand the annoyance of last minute cancelations, but i can readily think of a few causes it might happen too, babysitter-let down, or if a bit of a drive involved, traffic jams etc, M6 just the other week had huge amounts of people going nowere for 5hrs+ Either way, if people are decent enough to text or call to say,,"sorry but,,,". Still genuine in my book. If dont hear from them on day of meet or hours/hour leading up to meet, waste no more time on it.
