Are fab friendships important to you or do you simply just want a shag and move on to the next person?

for me I couldn't do just a shag so friendships are very important to me on here.

They are an added bonus...a plus if become friendships as such.

Where they fall down is they tend to form into unhealthy cliques.

As i have said...older now and in normal or working life i can communicate no problem with any and everyone. Just a bit worn out and tired of it being so time consumingly difficult doing likewise on here.

quite a sweeping statement.

Many of my friendships on here are solely 121 friendships so no cliques at all.

In fact my closest friends on here don't even use the forums to be in any kind of clique lol

In principle yes I'm greedy too, however given my personal circumstances over the past couple of years it has been people on here I consider as "FRIENDS" that have helped me through just by being here with a sympathetic ear and a cup of coffee

I have not had any physical contact on here for nearly 3 years now, that is down to choice rather than the rotten luck of the single guy. I am basically not. Looking for that side of things at present and I value the friendships I have made here more

So to answer Jac's original question. YES my friends are more important than a quickie

Social networks and fab friends ousts don't need to be huge, fartbook I have 63 all I know very personally and fab my friends number below 10...again I take the time to have conversation and dialect not always about 'fab' topics either...

We didn't expect to make great friends on here when we joined, just acquaintances I suppose, but as time has passed we have made some of the best friendships we could ever have hoped for!

We get what we want from fab, (some) great meets, great friendships, and a great social side too, who could ask for more! Xx

I'm on here to have sex, not make friends, harsh but true.

Luckily 80% of the people I meet I do still talk to and see, would I call them friends? No not at all.

Having said that there are at least five people on here I see on a regular basis, go for drinks, and include in my vanilla life. Some of them I haven't had any fun with and yes I call them friends and owe a lot to two very special ones

As said, I'm here for sex, if friendship happens it's an added bonus.

They're important on so many levels and I didn't quite expect that.

I suppose it's different for each of us. I joined through meeting a couple, going to a party at theirs and then joining the community. I didn't plan any of it but I did become friends with the couple and would see them in vanilla life, and enjoyed the friendship. Is any friendships here a bi-product? For some, but as well as meeting some very sexy people I have also met some very interesting ones. Sex usually gets better the more you get to know the other person. Well up to a point, usually that point is marriage lol

We get on enough to want to meet for sex but essentially it is....we meet, have fun, and are not in touch again until the next time either of us want to meet.

We've only ever met people on here for some naughty fun. That always involves a night out together first and then returning to a hotel room etc later together. If we didn't enjoy the social part of the meet then we wouldn't take things further but thankfully that's never been the case and we've met some people we've really clicked with.

In saying all that though we already have a busy social life and great friends in our normal lives so we don't consider people we've met on here as friends in the traditional sense. The only time we'd ever contact them is to meet up for some fun. The people we consider friends are generally people we've known for years, some since school that we've grown up together with. It's a totally different relationship.

I've been lucky in my life to have made friends with some wonderful people. I've picked them up as I've gone along and they are all special and individual in their own right. In my vanilla life I once got together 5 of my very dearest friends who although not knowing each other knew off each other through me. I thought it would work...it didn't. It highlighted for me that we give and receive very different things from different people and that's what contributes greatly to our emotional wellbeing. So now, since fab I have a few more "individuals" to add to my friendship jigsaw. I couldn't have sex with someone who wasn't a jigsaw piece though.......it just wouldn't fit.....

For me personally has to be friendships since I rejoined I have a short friends list now couple frm my previous profile n chatted to for a long time but didn't meet all of them I dont just use this for. Quick shag without some kind of friendship for me it's the banter the chat the laughs the connection makes the fun meet extra special been reminded by a few ppl this is a sex site only but each should use it as they please it's the wee escape for me for everyday chats as well as the flirting

Its pretty much what the last paragraph states.

Swinging is meeting like minded people, they meet, have a fun,great time, bingo everyone goes home happy. Happy they messaged each other, happy the meet was as hoped etc.

Unhealthy tends to be, well lots of things, no meet after lots of downtime spent messaging etc for example.

Or people having met, believing they can book themselves to meet a bit too often.

Or after having met, good old posessiveness, the, "he's mine/she's mine". often see them in verifications and its meant to be a joke i know, but it generally means all his swinging christmas's have come in one meet, and actually they aint joking, lol

well more fool them, but this post is about friendships not people being pressured into meeting ..you should only meet if you want to and I cant honestly see anyone being forced to meet if they dont want to

Fab friendships have become a part of our normal lives . We never expected to build such strong whilst fun relationships when we joined fab . Some of our fab friends , we have met their family/vanilla friends and some have met mine over the years on here . I think it's a lot to do with the fact you can be yourself at all times when you meet up together and talk openly about everything . Yes I love my vanilla friends but also have made some irreplaceable ones in our times here . So no its never a shag and move on for us !!

Ive made some really good friends with some ppl on here and im.proud to call them my friends, I can talk to them about anything and it doesn't have to be about sex all the time either

But some ppl say they are friends but they dont know the meaning if that makes sense

Wouldn't meet people i wouldn't want to be friends with - when people say its a sex site and there here just for a shag cool - their not for me.

Thats all well and good. What if who your planning to meet acts friendly,is friendly and like you agrees friendship is important to them too, but simply dont let you know their agenda is to meet once and be content with that? Does happen.
