IGNORANCE!!!!!

Hi fellow members , would just like to rant a we bit, i have been on here for a while now and on many occasions been in the chat room and everytime i always say hi and untill just 5 mins ago the only one ever to reply was Patchnjezz(thanks for that it was just nice to know someone does have manners x), i m now alsmost sure that in my opinion the room aint so friendly and i can only say im dissapointed.I know it takes time but in my defence i have tryed and tryed and tryed, is it because of my status ? is it just a shagging/meeting room? or mabe people dont want to talk, what do u think?

im always in chat as im a fab addict and i can honestly say ive never seen u in, i do try and say hi when someone new comes in and says hi im new here and i have to say many many many others do to. i think u may just have been a bit unlucky, dive in and chat away xx

I to like to lurk in the chat and will usually say hi to people who join the room also, like fifelass has said seems your just damn unlucky but get in there, after saying hi just join in with that chat if you think you can add to it

the chat rooms can be a daunting place! agree you just have to dive in and make yourself known lol

we have been in a few times now and yeah if you just sit back and lurk you can disappear into the backgroupnd but think thats because the chat moves sooooo fast, thats our problem with chat... trying to keep up!

never had the problem of being ignored right enough, their is always folks that say hi when you jump in and say hi

chat is full of friendly folk, just get in and make yourself heard!!! xx

Try a hi to a specific screen name, aimless "Hi or hello's" tend to get ignored.

The most familiar of folk often canny get a word in edgeways, being new has no bearing on response rate, all about just chatting and dont stress bout good or bad responses, happens,.

very much understand wot you are saying but i find alot of peeps say hi when u join in but u have to get involved in the chat or start toppics yourself as its very busy, its worthwhile making the effort!!!

in chat most nites and say hi to all if u were missed it is not meant, just as others before have said room moves fast and hi's can get lost in the stream of messages going. Just jump in say hi and how r u?

It has nothing to do with your status. It's all about being noticed.

I'm one of those who attempts to say hi to everyone when they enter the chatroom.

It's not always easy to get noticed if the room is flowing fast and there are lots of ppl in, try typing in a colour or bold so you stand out, try going into chat when the rooms are less busy and slower moving.

And above all try to persevere, those who do succeed are those with humour and something to say, not the ones with the oneliners that say "hi 34 m Glasgow looking for meet now." they are ones who tend to get ignored or advised to make conversation. Good luck and hope to see you in chat. xxx

Can you imagine walking into a pub and just syaing "Hi" to the room in general? People arent gonna reply unless they know you. It isnt unfriendly....its normal. However, if there were folks at the bar and you chipped in a response to what they were talking about you may well get a conversation going. Same thing in the chatroom.

Did you forget which profile you started the thread on?

Am in chat quite a bit and like others have said have never seen the OP's username come in when I was there.

I am one that will chat to anyone too so if I see you next time I will say hello, but you got to make an effort yourself to get yourself noticed, just because you say "hi" it doesn't mean everyone will instantly stop what they are doing and chat back to you and ignore everyone else that they have already been chatting to!

Just my tuppence worth!

Sometimes when entering chat people will be chatting away and looking out for posts from who they are chatting to so it all does just whizz past and i think the Scottish Chat is the friendliest,hell i got kicked of the London site for directing when all i said was "nice blouse" or something like that.I have been in on nights and said Hi in the room and none of the posters replied

99 per cent of folk are friendly just get the odd few just need to join in chat but the room can go very fast sometimes

the chatroom is something you need to spend time in for people to get to know you and chat to you. We used to spend a few nights a week in the chat, and speak to all the awesome members there, but more recently we dont get much chance to, so it can be very quiet for us.

Unless P is on the cam that is and then we are flooded with 'nice tits' whispers.

For us in the chat at the moment its 'no cam, no chat' x

don't do it.....last time Gis tried this we all had to go and seek counselling....there are a few of us that still haven't recovered

the problem with the chat rooms are ppl tend to be "chatting" and therefore miss your hellos etc ..... dont let it put u off, come in strike up a conversation and ur in so to speak .... good luck xxxx
