And nobody gives a f**k.

"Less than half of the tickets for an event marking the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn have been sold.

About 7,000 of the 20,000 tickets available for Bannockburn Live have been sold, with three weeks to go."

the same point could be made about the commonwealth games, taxpayers have too pay to watch the sporting events, same principle, same un-fairness if you ask me

Anyone who hasnt been to stirling should go, its an amazing place, especually the pubs and bars around the castle.

The reason tickets are slow on sale is due to Stirling Armed forces Day being on the first day of the weekend (the 28th June) Many who go to that will purchase tickets and stay for the weekend

It will be a fantastic weekend and those who do not go will miss an amazing event made up of many shows and entertainment in all bars too.

You do not need a ticket to join in the celibration but for all they cost why not see the whole thing

you may learn a thing or two at the same time.

For those above who knock it down, try and educate yourselves and find out what is going on before slating it

not much to ask.

Well we are 5 of the 7000 tickets and are looking forward to the event. We are members of historic scotland and love going to the events that get put on in the likes of edinburgh and stirling castles. All through primary school my weans knew more about scots history than the teachers and enjoyed telling their classes what they knew when they did topics like the scottish wars of independance etc

history is not for everyone but those of us that go will have a great time.

I am sure you would say the same about the perth group that are reenacting the long march of german pows this year or things like that.

Why hold 2 events on the same

weekend in basically the same place . I just don't get that.

It's a pity it's not sold more tickets. But it's been heading that way for a while.

Some people love to start an argument. Going to Bannockburn isn't about the YES vote you ignoramus, the same way that going to armed forces day isn't about voting NO! We are going to both. why are there people on here who's only purpose is to be rude and negative? Our whole family is going although we haven't bought our tickets yet and I'd bet the majority are like that. It hasn't been well organised that is for certain but I'm sure it will still be a great day out. Although certain people can just stay home and sulk.
