Anyone know of any decent watering holes in the general area?

Something that is fairly normal, possibly with live music.

Thought it best to ask any locals rather than take a chance

Oh.. I'll be there on Thursday 8th May for one night so after that date it becomes a mute point.

I like the Royal Bar on the seafront but it's a bit of an old man's pub.

Garth reopened a few ok places even a wetherspoons now lol sadly the imps no more. The riverbank.is ok and changes from a nice restaurant to a mini.club as has a late licence. Walk along the front or just off for wetherspoons there is an ok choice if yiu want better choice grab a direct train into Glasgow
