In June 1995 my dad passed away, and the christmas of that year, I heard his presence in what was then our family home on tyneside. However in 1997 his spirit appeared to me almost 2 years to the day he passed away. I know I didn't imagine it- I was there when it happened, and my mum felt his presence at the same time as I saw my dad there is life after death,its not all hock-us pock-us, and faked like Sally Morgan on TV more like Colin Fry- he is more plausible more exact in how he comes across.

After my little boy died i went through quite an obsessive period of looking for signs and messages from him. Time passed and i saw my neediness for what it was....extreme and excrutiatingly painful grief. When i see people being conned by some of these 'phsycics' my blood boils. I could never claim to be certain..but i dont believe there is anything. It is all our interpretation of incidents....our imagination wanting it to be so.That.....i understand totally....

For me there are no ghosts. Ive luved in the creepiest fucking houses/ castles etc over europe and there was nothing there. Places were really scary bu its your imagination or people messing up your mimd.

As for religion. I believe thats for the weakvwilled or people lookimg for something to blame or take the focus off themselves. Any organised cult that uses a common sense socialist theory is just another form of government.

The human mind is a fragile thing and a suport machanism or belief in faith is all some people have to get them through so I wont take thatvaway from one who needs it.

Id like to think we may have some link to a previous lifetime as I feel very midsplaced, like 1000+ years too late but Im sure its all horseshit and once you had your turn thats it. I wont be going to meet my dad or my unborn daughter in the sky so I let people know who they were so at least the memory lives on.

I suffered from an incubbus disorder for a few years after a health scare. It was really odd and I had to man up to open my eyes lol.

Eventually doctors advuce and the internet getting accessible showed me that is a physical reaction to a mental disorder. In this case, a severe skin reaction.

I never used to believe in the paranormal and blocked it out I suppose libs is right until you see it you won't believe until the proof is there so people will obviously be sceptic about it.

When I lost my partner I didn't believe in the afterlife till things were happening that connected with things he used to do o suppose we will never know until we die I wouldn't say I'm fully in belief

thanks for that.............I think its getting a bit silly now, with 'atheists' proclaiming there can be nothing after death, I dont believe in the popular notion of 'god', but all my science interest only leads me to believe we are basically one big fractal design.

EVERYTHING in the universe is recycled..what is not understood is how it is recycled

and In my opinion, the universe will probably collapse in on itself(via a network of black holes(or joining black holes), and most likely start again.

I think it is great that people do not follow religion blindly and believe in pearly gates etc...but to simply say the notion of some form of after life is tosh...isnt exactly scientific.

Would like to see a link for any of this because the Randi (keep calling him Randl for some reason, Doh!) organisation are pretty open about their tests.

There's a forum showing the discussions that go ahead with applicants to agree the criteria for the tests. I'd expect it to be all over the internet if anyone has passed but it doesn't appear to be.

As an example of the tests, someone who claimed they had psychic powers agreed to do readings for 10 people but the conditions included them writing down their 'reading' and they also weren't allowed to talk to the subject (as it's easy to learn how to do cold readings, cheating basically). The 10 subjects then had to pick out the reading that was about them. If this had happened the 'psychic' would've won the prize.

I'm a believer in the soul, and believe that soul's can be stuck if they have purpose and unresolved issues. However I think that most souls (I think the soul is composed of anti-matter) resort to holding the universe together when we die. 95% of the universe is anti matter (or dark matter). I'm not a believer in heaven etc

I had a major accident two years ago and nearly died and nouthing no white lights or anything so you only live once I think although if you ever have to see someone in a coma do speak because I did know who was there with me. But fighting fit now and bigger and madder thanks ever ??

I'm not sure..I can only give some info on what ive read and understand lol....but it isnt the mass that changes its the activity of the atoms, once the kinetic energy loses its impact, the energy becomes a zero state energy or potential energy,

My cousin took some friends upto my house 1 night who'd come over from Ireland, I was working. I came home and met these people for the 1st time ever, so did 2 of my other friends. So all chatting away about stuff and out of the blue 1 of the Irish guys turns to my friend and says, let's call her Tracy to save naming, "Tracy, your dad says he's ok and he loves you and he didn't suffer! " now Tracy gets freaked out, because none of us knew, but her dad died when she was young! THEN. .he looks at me and says "T who are the 2 little boys running away from the skip?" Well it brought me to tears literally, as myself and my little cousin, about 6yrs before, had been walking by an ally in maryhill and seen something on fire, we went to check it out and it was an old carpet. We tried to put it out by slapping it with some other bits of carpet that weren't on fire, only for those to catch, so we threw them in the skip that was next to us and the whole skip burst into flames! we ran like feck away and NEVER told anyone, never spoke about it EVER! and the thing that convinced me he knew, was my wee cousin had never met him because he was in England living!
