unfortunate death at the liberton high school

my heart goes out to the family of the poor wee girl who died at the liberton high school when a wall collaposed on her....i cant even begin to imagine how devastated and enraged i would be if it were to happen to someone i know and id be inclined to hold someone to account for it...head's would most definitely roll!

rest in peace lil angel

And it comes after a pupil fell down a mineshaft at the school a couple of years ago!!

I think it's absolutely awful, your children should feel safe at school. I feel for her family, see her set off for school this morning and never see her again. I live right next to the school, I heard everything earlier but thought nothing of it. It's shocking that something like this, with all the health and safety stuff these days, could happen. Apparently all parents were informed by a text?? I sure hope someone had the decency to inform her family by another way! RIP xxx

I assume the text was a general text stating the school was closing for the day and parents needed to collect the kids - it's a standard method used these days. I just hope it didn't get sent to the poor parents

This is just such sad and tragic news. My thoughts are with the poor girl who lost her life and her parents whose lives are now changed for ever ....they must be devastated ......

Such a shame and thoughts are with her family and friends.

Live quite close too and just got the text to remind everyone that all afterschool clubs are also cancelled now.

Ive heard countless times before that the school was 'falling apart' and something shouldve been done long before now.

technically there are men and women here in this post expressing their deepest sympathies for the tragic loss of the poor wee girl and technically we're all naked underneath our clothes therefore we're all very much equal in that regard so the simple matter that we happen not to be wearing clothes at any point of time should not take away from our ability to empathise with the trials and tribulations of others then again there are those who have the inane ability to turn a good thing into something bad by taking things out of context and shifting the focus away from the topic of conversation hmmm
