there are alot of bikes out there you say "we" so you will be carrying a pillion.

My bike is a Honda blackbird and it is fast and good for touring if you fancy that, it also has a good pillion seat and tank range another bike is the pan euro 1100 or 1300 both are big tourers with lots of comfort.

if you like the idea of a harley type and want to spend hours of time cleaning it. there is alot of chrome on a cruiser. then triumph have a few that are good . the triumph St is also a good bike .

in the end it depends on bums on seats go to your local bike shop and try and sit on as many bikes as you can as you will find some better than others and some that not.

before you go make a list of what you want from a bike - do you want to tour , just for the weekends, posse, go fast ,commute, individualism. will the pillion be on the bike alot if so you need a rear seat that is bigger than a postage stamp.

so lots of things to look for.

one thing to forget about is price, what i mean is if you see a bike you like and it fits you for size and style butit is over your budget just have a look at the same bike that is a year older it will cost less

Near Cardiff

it really depends on what you want to do. Cruisers arent necessarily the most comfortable option, a pretty standard road bike like a honda CB1000 would probably have more comfort and far better performance than a cruiser.

"thanks guys take it on board was looking at a vtx 1300"

the vtx is not the biggest cruiser on the market or the cheapest.

the pillion seat is a bit small and only one front disc. there are better out there . but its your choice

why not look at

suzuki intruders - 800 up to 1800 cc

yamaha midnightstars

Kawasaki VN range

triumph thunderbird

motoguzzi california

in murrays they`ve an fjr 1300... well capable tourer.. the triumph which would tour and also be playful when needed.. also a cracking fazer 1000..again fun but maybe lacking in pillion comfort... theres a gsx 1400 there also... solid bikes them, know a few folks who`d have nothing but...

cud always get fugy to go in and verify whats genuine.. we know he likes to ride most things
