"One specific suggestion would be the Burrell Collection. Soon to close for building renovation it's one man's collection of art and furniture and ....... While the building is shut, bits of the collection are to be 'loaned' overseas. We may never see it as it is now again." Thanks for that tip. "Glasgow life website will give you info on museums, some are closed on mondays. comedy festival runs from 14 mar to 5 apr. As _nny said the list,their website is a good guide to whats on and reviews of restaurants etc" Thanks for the tip on the comedy festival. I'd enjoy that. | |||

It's not a bad city, not as busy as London or as dirty either. Nowhere is that far away and the public transport is nearly as good as Central London so I hope you enjoy your time up here

Georgian and older rather than mostly Victorian. And it has a castle - but shops only on one side of the street. | |||
