How long without being verified before your suspect for being fake ??

Tough one as you also have the ones that are verified and are fake.

But for non-veri I would say a couple of months. While I get newbies might be cautious/nervous at meeting straight away there's no reason they can't cam or arrange a meet for a coffee.

Ive never known so much pish !!

If i needed the validation of other people i could have been verified by one of my mates (who has known me for 30 years) within days of joining.

If anyone chooses to think that im fake, time waster, pic hunter or anything else thats their problem.

as many have said before on the countless other veri's threads, its easy to manipulate the system. You will never be sure someone is genuine until you make an effort to get to know them and/or meet them, verified or not.

But as has been said you do get verified timewasters too

I've been here 8 years now and to be honest I'm not interested in verifications.

True I believe you need one if you wish to post in the Forums within a certain time frame.

I never read peoples veris as some read like a porn movie and doesn't give me the info I'm after in that person. Some are actually quite demeaning to the person and it shocks me that people show them on their profile.

I have one from a very special friend that I show on my profile. I have addede no more as this was is informative and does the biz, that is required in a verification.

I agree wholeheartedly with Rockstar, verifications are just that not an opportunity to boast of your prowess, demean the other person or regale with exploits which seems to happen too frequently

You're right in what you say people can get around the system and get verifies from friends but there are also others that will verify someone for a verify in return.

Good example of that is an individual who I've seen changes profiles, name and their own info countless times, this individual posts the status update of "who's fucked me" and sure enough in no time all you see is that they've received a load of verifies in a short space of time.

And as the OP asks when to suspect a fake if someone hasn't been verified and has been on the site for a length of time would you not think there is something odd?

Having had a couple of real kicks in the slats recently on this site I think going with the gut is the way forward. Having been duped by a verified false profile and then been treated like shite by a couple who had seemed totally sound i'm less inclined to read the pish that is ever present on verrifications.

In fact I sometimes wonder if I should continue wasting my.valuable time on people who.dont deserve it.....

Totally agree with you on that one Sir, I to have had the displeasure of a few fake profiles(multiple) not just cpls but a few woman also, and have wasted many an email in boosting their egos for their supposed kick. Another bug bear is those that don't read the profiles and give you grief when you don't reply

Easiest way to find out if anyone is genuine or not is to ask for a mobile number to be able to chat, especially fem/fem. The fakes just disappear and never provide a number.
