....... how many lunches, drinks nights, socials or parties are being advertised at the moment and for when?

Can you put them all here in one post and their dates please?

I don't know which ones I'm going to got an invite to or am not going to.... anyone else as confused as me?

not confused yet but could easily get that way. So far, there is bren's birthday bash and Pursss is trying to organise something for May. lots in glasgow and Edinburgh but I am not free lol.

Just a thought ere....

How would people feel if an online calender was set up using Google Calender?

Maybe a few regulars could have access to the password to a google account, I would set up a calender and post a link on for it so all could see the upcoming socials... the lists for socials would still remain in here and I would say in the calender whos post you need to look at to get details?

Anyone then organising a social evening/lunch meet (I mean proper social, not a guy in a hotel room after a meet!) could mail me and I will add theirs to the page.

I know the site has an event page but this only goes up to two months ahead and some socials are 8 months away!

I beleive that you could even import the calender into your own google account and even syncronise it with your iPhone/Android/Nokia Symbian phones calender if you wanted!

Thoughts and ideas please?

Will then approach admin to get their views if this is allowed.

All you would need to do is copy and paste a link into a browser and look at the calender.... and it was in ADDITTION to what happens at the moment, not a suggestion to replace it.

The question is how many people want to discuss current affairs here, or is everyone happy with the topics posted. i am relatively new here, and only sign in every couple of days. i would be happy to post on topics which attracted my attention, but there will be no right answers or pleasing everyone. if we get into politicla chats things could degenarte rapidly.

Seem that alot of members asking how they get to social events but do not realise that they can find them on the forums !

There is an events part but not many look at that either !

I always check the forum for events i think its easy but we need to somehow let new members know this is where they are advertised !
