Yes... Though not much to be honest and hard to measure without good equipment. The shiny side will reflect radiated heat slightly better than the dull side, though given that it's usually wrapped tight around things, the heat will be lost through conduction.

Man.. We all know that foil hats dont stop Aliens zombies or the Feds getting into your head...

For Aliens I would recomend a poster of Elvis Preseley in your bedroom. As soon as the Aliens see you worship their god then they leave you alone.

Zombies are easy as they only want what is physically inside your head, your brains.. So a good pair of running shoes and some sort of club to give serious blunt trauma to their heads is perfect.

As for the Feds: Ask the Aliens you befriend after you have chatted about Elvis to cloak your home in an Anti Fed shield then your set!
