"Cheap and easy - soften a chopped onion in a pot with a little oil, garlic and chilli. Add a carton of passata 29p, and some chicken stock (Veg if a veggie) simmer for 25 mins to reduce. add seasoning and a pinch of sugar. You can add anything to this to bulk it up, fry off a chicken breast, or chopped peppers/mushrooms/courgette etc whatever on special! Mix it with pasta for a delicious healthy meal. ps. If feeling extravagant, a dessert spoon of Philadelphia stirred in to sugo just before serving turns it into a lovely creamy tomato sauce. ![]() ![]() Sounds yummy I'll put it on my list thanks! Loads of good ideas thanks everyone ![]() ![]() | |||
