This has came up in several occasions recently so just wanting to see what others lighthearted opinions are on it .

And would you ever put more than one type of sauce on a sandwich at the one time

What's a sandwich to you ?

Is it

A) One slice of brown or white bread prepared filled and cut, then folded over

B) Two slices of brown or white bread prepared placed on top of the other and left whole or sliced to make 2 seperate sandwiches .

C) Depends on whether its outside you buy it or make it at home.

D) you don't eat sandwiches and prefer a roll

2 slices of bread doth one sandwich make......awright well!!!!!!!

Fillings.. . as many as you can get in and still get yer chops roonit.....

One sauce, pickle, mayo per sandwich.....more is a surefire sign of insanity/instability!

A roll is only permissible if its a fancy wan ie ciabatta, crusty, baguette, cob....

Finally.....ALL ROUND TO BINO'S FOR TATTIE SCONES......

Sorry Shelly, but "B" all day long!

You go into a cafe/bistro and order a sandwich...you will get two slices of bread with filling cut in two served to you.

You go into Marks and Sparks...or any take away and pick up a pkt of sandwiches, and it's still two!!

You NEVER NEVER only get one sandwich, unless you make it at home yourself...then its a half sandwich!

If you have 2 slices and fold each in half with a different filling in each then it's two sandwiches.

If you put one filling between 2 slices of bread it's one sandwich - doesn't matter if you cut it in half, quarters, corner to corner or into a dinosaur - it's STILL 1 sandwich

But it's you that says 2 pieces with one filling cut in half is 2 sandwiches!!

By that logic if you cut it into 4 you'd have 4 sandwiches!!! But it's still only 1!!

Tome here, sorry missed the concept earlier.

Right can Andy simplify this home made sandwich, two slices plain loaf, buttered, slice sausage x 2, lid on, cut in half. with Tomato ketchup in one and Brown sauce in the other!! two sauces one sandwich? confusing myself now!

Tom, just fold each slice of bread in half with some sausage and ketchup in 1 slice and sausage and brown sauce in the other - saves time and effort and also lessens the chance of the sauce falling out.

But that would be 2 sandwiches

"has definately got too be the roll

I prefer a roll to a sandwich too .

But in the chance I do make a sandwich one slice of bread is a sandwich therefore 2 slices makes 2 sandwiches "

Then you better make me four or six sandwiches then...
