I have been on here for a shirt time and while I have met some very nice people ( they know who they are) I have found that others are just plain rude. For examples, people who say that they will not respond to messages unless a face pic is sent yet they themselves do not have any pics on there profile. People who have messages me saying that my profile is to blah and that I should do something about, and when asked " what would you have me do to change this and make it more appealing?" Be then abused in a message and then blocked. Is it a power thing? Or are some people out there just so nasty, living nasty lives that they are actually not on here looking to meet " like minded people" but are actually here just for being shitty so that they can feel better about themselves. Anyone care to weigh in?

This pops up from time to time on the forum, the answer to why will vary from person to person.

sometimes i think people apply rules to others that they dont apply to themselves.

also that some think they are entitled to behave in whatever manner they choose without considering the obligation to behave with manners.

best advice just let it go, easier said than done sometimes i know. You also have the options to block and/or report.

Bino is right. If they get abusive, report and block them.

Try not to let the idiots get to you though. It sounds like you've met some nice people though so you know to keep the faith

What bino said. I had a couple talking to me recently who were due to return north. When I "suggested" a friend request I was rudely given short shrift. As of that moment I couldnt give a fuck for them and my interest was withdrawn. Some need to take their big heads out their arses and stop stroking their egos.

It's a two way thing and

some people need to reaquaint themselves with reality sometimes....

What men tend to forget is single and even couples women receive dozens of mail should we spend our whole day replying to men? No some people have jobs, college and even family if they get abusive as both guys have stated block there should be no room for rudeness and if you feel like you are being abused for no reason please I urge you to report as I know fab do not tolerate it

On the latter of abuse. They actually contacted me first to tell me my profile wasn't very good. I took it on the chin and asked for constructive help which for some reason appeared to give them the entitlement to be horrible and block me. I absolutely understand what you are saying , some people must get so many messages etc. however I have always found that when I message someone it is always ended with a " no need to reply if not interested and have a nice day" niceness cost nothing but thank you for the reply

YES. That's very true. Fortunately there is a 'block' button for them , leaving you time to chat to the more pleasant contingent.

I agree with bino too (its becoming a habit, im concerned!!!). There are a lot of lovely people on here but also some very small minded and quite nasty individuals. Those who treat me disrespectfully get a one way ticket to the block list. I choose to concentrate on the positive peeps who want to enjoy what should be fun. Karma will get the baddies in the end.

I know there is a block button, and that I can report them. I just wanted some people to discuss this because I think there may be lots of people who pluck up the courage to join a site such as this and are given a hard time. Weather it be just plain and nasty people or people who sometimes forget what it is like to start from the beginning on this site. I'm not perfect I'm sure along the way il piss people off or not use the proper fabswingers etiquette not purposefully but I'm sure I will. Again thank you for sharing your thoughts.

As in life, there are people you get on with, and some you don't. Fab is the same, a mixture of all sorts. As has been said, there's a block button, filters etc.

At the end of the day we are all adults on here i try my best not to get into confrontation with people but from time to time i do but the biggest majority of ejits on here i choose to block and dont get into anything with them .

Just be yourself and enjoy the site and all the lovely people on here because there are many and they well outweigh the ejits.

Thats ok. Not answering a message isn't a problem. I would get the hint. I'm sure even if my profile had bells and whistles on it and was pleasing to everyone that I as a person may not stimulate you. Each to there own as long as you are friendly and respectful.

you know what, It's nice to be nice. I always make sure that my forst message shows a degree of pleasantries and a bit of respect and maybe a compliment or two....then it gets sordid!
