Self concious issues or "I have a problem!"

Jump to newest

So I've goten over some fairly heavy shit in my time but the one absolute constant I have is my Psorisis. I'm cool with it and it's improving drastically since I forced my doctor to change the meds I take.

OK granted I have had some great times with some fabuoous girls since it sarted but I'm always wary as It's fairly obvious when Im in shorts and T-shirt and really Blatent when I hit the gym or pool.

I get a little wound up because though my face has cleared nearly completely I'm worried that someone here might think I was hiding it. So I put up 1 public pic with some on my back. It's not catching or infectious and it doesn't hurt! So get your nails oot and get clawing!

Do any of you have an issue or physical problem that you are self concious of but others probably don't mind?

I have eczema I used to have a issue as its all over my body but the way I look at it everyone is beautiful with or without a disorder it's not about what you look like it's about who you are I do however think some people forget about this and are quick to judge or maybe a bit creeped out but hey it's life

I have cold urticaria. Top that shite, allergic to the cold, and am Scottish. Yaldi! Luckily it only really goes on my hands and legs and not on ma coupon but still.

I wouldn't let it bother you mate, I firmly believe anyone that judges or makes fun of anyone with any physical problem or anything to do with how they look are utter cretins not worth the shite on your shoe.

Its really more about coming out with it now before a couple of events and a possible meet. Im pretty bloody honest with myself and to others so Its good to get that off my chest and maybe help others.

I (Daisy) am allergic to just about every metal n product so come out in bright red hives & itchy rashes, especially when I'm stressed or hyped up. Magic when your going on a meet! So it's usually triple doses of antihistamines to the rescue but there's not a lot else I can do

my mrs has psoriasis and is very self concious about it thats why we havent had any play meets for ages but all our friends and most ppl we chat to have been fine about it and try to reasure her that its ok ,and i agree with others comments its the person and their personality that counts when u r meeting, good luck op hope it clears up soon and u get back to enjoying having fun.

No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

I had surgery almost two years ago now

and had a few complications after it which ment another two stays in hospital to get me better.

Im very selfconcious of my scar and hate the way it looks even tho its 100 times better than it was at that time.

When im having fun from here i always wear something that covers it up but sometimes during play i am aware of whatever im wearing riding up and exposing my scar at im always trying to tug it back down during play lol...i know that sounds silly as i should be focused on my meet which i am 99% of the time

but i still have a great time despite this

I'm pretty chuffed with my scar, reminds me that looking after myself saved my life once.....hence the renewed gym malarky. Good to know folks have similar issues. I just wasn't going to hide it, since I hope I'll be lucky enough to get a few meets (and I 'd always chat or msg from forums beforehand) it's all out there and we can all get on with it.

Sex, that is

I believe that no matter who you are, everyone has hang ups about their bodies.

Wear your scars with pride - it proves you've lived

Even if scars/medical conditions get in the way from time to time, they aren't who you are, they just prove that you are human. Be comfortable in your own skin, for that is the most attractive quality a person can have

I was initially upset at being left with a big scar after surgery last year, but after a couple of meets, I couldn't care less

I've got quite a few scars after different surgeries however I've learned to love and value them as they were all part of my live and the pain I experienced having the surgery. So im now comfortable in my own skin and proud of them

Precisely! Thats why Im laying it out there. Not your fault and Im sure we can ll say we have a problem with some stuff. I personally get a wee bit pale at excessive loose skin. Its a physical reaction rather than a persinal choice.

Yeah, we all get the odd freak out moment when something isn't what we expect, but as long as it's open and up front, then no one should be surprised...

Good on you for being confident enough to ask opinions.

Nobody on here, is perfect and to slate anyone for a skin condition, or surgery scar, is an indicator of how shallow those people are, people should take a long look in the mirror, before laying judgement on other folks-

Slating someone for it is one thing...

Being put off by it is a different matter entirely....

Thanks for that. I've severe atopic eczema. It has nearly killed me thru infections three times. I have patches now on my arms and neck- it used to cover my body. I have scars from that, surgery and stripes.

And you know what?

I dont give a fk what anyone else thinks of it. Thats their problem for being small minded.

Oh... and I celebrate my skin. I've worked as an artists model

No and its probably number 1 reason I dont get meets- as soon as people see it they fk off and I'm sick fed up of having to justify myself all the time.

I come round and take your mind off it for a few hours. Fuck, we could have a joint diprobase/doublebase massage session afterwards . Im having a chuckle to myself but its a thing Id do if asked. Better than stinky massage oils and a real benefit!

I feel your pain. I have a skin condition too, and it's put me off having meets where I have to get my clothes off recently. Gets me down as well as being fucking sore. Today started off so much pain I couldn't even sit to do jigsaws with my young son. Ugly and painful. Could greet but I live in hope that the flare will calm down soon xx

Always have a laugh at the 'if they don't like it, they're not worth it' or 'if they don't like it, fuck 'em' comments.

Just because someone doesn't like something, doesn't mean they're worthless. No one is perfect and we all have things we might change about ourselves if we could but some people are put off by skin conditions, scars etc. and some people love them. Doesn't make them a bad person for gods sake!

Personally, the OP's comment about getting your nails out and claw away at his Psorisis made me want to puke but thats less about him and more the thought of doing what he suggested.

Um, I didn't say that surely! I don't mind a bit of tooth and nail in the throws of lusty bonkery but it goes without saying that previous partners didn't agitate the affected bits deliberately, neither would I suggest they do! That's a bit "specialist" even for me *boak*

But, I am in total agreement with the sentiment earlier in that post

If someone didnt like something about you....are you going to let it get to you and worry about it??

Or are you going to say "Fuck it, they aint worth it"!
