As he is not from the site, will he know what type of party we are?

Only fair to say we would not want ours taken & would hope that he would have an area set aside where the photos could be taken without people in the background being taken accidentally.

SORRY Jacs but we have to keep low profile as I am sure others do.

Soz Jacs just voicing my concern. I have been to works doos with professional photographer taking photos of the people on the floor area where bystanders were in view of camera.

All of your functions have gone smoothly before as I am sure this one will.

Will the photographer have any negatives, memory card/stick/recordings etc?

I'd be concerned he would have any means of re-printing the pics taken on the night or more to the point anything he can keep permanently.

I really dont think this is a good idea unless its in a seperate room away from the main "festivities" and the photographer has NO access to the main room.

After about an hour or so of been in a social it is quite obvious to bar staff etc that its not a works night out or 21st birtday party.

We have all got to consider our privacy and for one will consider backing out of this social if this photographer is present.

Sorry Jacs, dont want to be a party pooper just my 2cents worth.

Also, for those choosing to have their pics posted to their home address.... opens a whole new can of worms up for their privacy etc.

You may think this reaction is over the top, but look at what has happened re security etc of recent socials in Scotland and indeed there is issues with one down south just now also.

I'm inclined to agree with you Steve.

I know of a few socials that have been compromised and really feel a non-fab photographer is a double compromise. Everyone knows there is a no pics rule at socials unless you have express permission from those you take pics of, and if you do so you make sure no-one or identifying marks of the venue are in the background.

I'm sorry Jacs but on this occasion my overriding thought is for the privacy of all members attending, not how good I'd look in a ballgown recorded for posterity. I did all that when I was a schoolgirl.

Sorry, but I can imagine pics being plastered over the tabloids of swingers swinging out.... not really likely but a possibility. xxx

ok peeps was just a thought but doesnt look like it was a popular desision to make so have now decided

not to go with the photographer....

There will be a nice backdrop if anyone wishes to take photos themselfs on the nite and hope everyone will take advantage of a nice photo of the background we r providing .

ty for ur comments on this post xxx

Im now asking admin to close this thread thank you .
