Now like most I keep my " block and tackle" smoothe all the time. My nuts do

Resemble Yul Brinner snogging Kojak.

However as a keen cyclist, come the new season I will be sans hair on my legs. Easier to clean wounds and mud off from crashes.

Is this a step too far??

I know my limitations and wont have Team Sky knocking down my door

I don't do the leg shaving bit... Shaved tackle, yes, less friction, but legs, no thanks.

Even on an 80+ mile run, I don't think it really makes a difference

I agree it makes zero difference to my times. But try picking hairs out your scabs when youve chucked yourself down the road. And as mentioned the mud flows off easier after mountain biking.

Formative yrs spent in wellies on a farm.caused premature baldness of the lower leg too.....

I've a strange thing happening with the outside of my lower legs....both completely smooth, but cross the shin bone heading to the inside and they're like an Amazon rainforest!!

Plus I only road cycle and I don't intend coming off at any great speed, so i'll keep mine as is!

Do you wear slim fitting or skinny jeans? I've noticed a bit of a bald patch in the same place on both my legs and its down to the jeans rubbing against my shins.

I think its probably dating back to my early youth, and drainpipe jeans! lol! our equivalent to skinny jeans!

Also a lot of slide tacking in blaize pitches when young n foolish!
