The Shaw brothers had a big impact on how the Western world was introduced to Chinese Martial Arts.

Up to the 1960's the only time anyone saw anything like it was in Judo or Karate classes starting out around then.

Movies then came spouting out of Hong Kong from The Shaw Bros studio and Golden Harvest

Suddenly we were alerted to Bruce Lee, Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan etc and this new concept called gung fu

I myself was privelaged in being introduced to the Chinese Arts in 1967 and have studies them since

RIP

shaw made a big mistake by not signing the young bruce lee...thanks to growing up being spoon fed martial arts movie's i became fascinated with kung fu and karate and it's life changing benefits...i most certainly wouldnt be here or be the man i am today if it hadnt been for martial arts ...so in some indirect way i guess i owe my life to shaw
