Edinburgh

I'm sure that there must be a few folk on here who enjoy cycling. Was thinking of organising a social ride around Edinburgh if any one is interested?

I (Tom) am up for that, even though based on west side of the country! Could throw bike in back of car and come across.

Got another knee op scheduled for end of Jan, but cycling going to be major part of rehab....and Dont imagine it's going to be anytime before then....so sounds good!

(Dust's off the lycra!!)

Excellent looks like we have a wee peloton going. How about a Saturday or Sunday morning? I was thinking of a 20/30 mile ride along the coast with a coffee stop.

We could even get shirts made up

May wish to revise, group rides are normally at same fitness level. Not everyone has done a group ride

Loop sounds like best idea, and surely if a fun ride, then pace set by slowest in group? So all stay together, I bags riding a tandem with Pip behind Euroladies!!

the ultimate challenge would be the west high;and way on a bike , apart from the narrow paths and bits of tree trunks ,,,but I wonder how many would give it a go ?

On a decent MTB, shouldn't be too bad, just depends on the time you set yourself to do it..

Was reading a twitter thread from Kevin Bridges on that very topic earlier today.

I used to cycle a lot, but where I live I got feed up having stuff flung at me by neds. Would love to get back into it, though. If I can ever figure out how the rack I bought for the car works...
