glasgow monthly meet up

ok been thinking of this a while not to get mixed up with socials or partys this would be a simple monthly thing thinking last saturday of each month.

would just be meet up at a central location then off on a pub crawl to keep things fair (some folk say about hosts handpicking) i would propose a commitee of sorts so a single fem and a cpl if intrested list below and lets see if we can get this on the go

reason for commitee is numbers and folk dont like how some social things are dictated by who the host likes and dislikes so commitee helps to alliviate this

Kola pick a day thats free for you post your having a drinks night anyone interested to get in touch. May mean opening your settings for a wee bit (if you have them restricted) but it gets it done. Or say where youre going and when and that you hope to see people there.

simple the 3 profile commitee is to ensure i dont have a monopoly on who goes trying to alliviate a problem that others have mentioned in the past ant better ideas im all ears

I really don't get that as Glasgow city centre has some huge pubs and it's not like everyone needs to walk in en masse but in saying that if it's you arranging it then your (or the committee) rules are fine as everyone would know.

security on doors dont like large numbers (if left open imagine the amout of single guys) seems academic anyways 20 posts not one intrested in actual post only the fact that a commitee was mentioned

Why not just do what others do? Invite folks off your friends list, agree a time and place and take it from there.

No tickets, no booking, no cabaret, just a night out for a few friends.

Perhaps not a good idea, as 3people may still dislike the same people and not invite them , then again if all 3 people dislike them maybe there's a good reason, but maybe not . It's all so confusing lol x

Good suggestion, alas if you check the forum there is normally a social arranged every other month.

Curry Kareoke was a good laugh, by those who went good while back. I never went, so I missed out on a good laugh with folk able to sing badly .

the cpl and single fem were not going to be from my friends list to try and get a mix while still having a deciding vote

would be no fee just a pub crawl group would probably splinter but at first wanted nos kept down for security at doors not knocking back

personally think its a good idea, im sure theres lots of folks that are occasionally at a loose end on a weekend n fancy going out for few drinks in company. be a bit more casual and less formal than other socials
