What was the best present you received on Christmas day and why?

A 20 min chat with my son, in Bastion. Made my day, couldnt concentrate on anything else all day.

Loved all my presents....but one from my son made me cry....oil painting of a mother/son meerkat as he knows i love them....but the touching words he whispered in my ear as he cuddled me when i opened it made me flood tears...

Mine was a holiday to Mexico but my fav present wasn't one I received but one I gave to my daughter and sons GF the look on their faces was priceless

mines was this morning being allowed to spend all morning and afternoon playing santa at a childrens hospice seeing the love from the staff and the sperkle in so many brave kids eyes ,it makes you ever so humble and brings you down to earth knowing that no matter what stress you have in your daily life its nothing compared to those brave kids they all gave me a special gift today ,it was being allowed to be part of such short lifes for just a few hours ,you cant buy or wrap that and its unconditional.priceless

I think that's wonderful! I've been on the other side of the fence having many years ago had a very sick child. The contribution made by people as kind hearted as yourself is immeasurable. It is a common misconception that hospices and children's hospitals are sad places. My experience was that they were deeply inspirational. Often life being lived to the fullest extent under huge limitations. Thank goodness for people like you.

where i lived with an ex partner we were next door to a terminal kids hospice and the joyous times that happened in that home were amazing
