Patience young skywalker, that's the key. Get into chat and be polite etc, stick posts up on the forums and show that you have a good sense of humour and you'll start standing out.

We all have dry spells, we are on one just now where no-one seems to reply to our emails but you take the good with the bad

Well you've been here a while now and this is only your first post on the forums, are you relying solely on sending emails to meet people? like the poster above says, put some effort in and get yourself known around the forums and chat, maybe even attend a social.

Have to say I met a couple of nice people initially, through mailing and the forums, the chat I did try to get involved with but find I got ignored a lot, I still try mailing and get ignored a fair bit, do like a post on the forums and keep missing posts about socials and sadly its been about a year since i last met anyone, but I am sure if you follow the advice above you will be fine. I live in hope myself lol

went to my 1st social on Sat (Bunny Ball) and got to meet some people which gives you some common ground in the chat room.

it seems to be a snowball think it just gets improves with every roll LOL.

In a past life...another site I was asked if this was the place for easy sex, I said no......if that is your sole intention as a single guy it will be a long slog for you fella....

As other, people have said be seen chatting and posting in the forums and you will not be another single guy just looking for a quick shag...

Lots of driving, erm and no shows!

Thinking yourbout to have the meet of your life, then no shows!

Would'nt put too much store in rattling around in chat, 8 yrs been doing this, had 2 meets via chat in that time.

Send an honest message, offer up meet lovely options, and you yourself dont be a no-show, just may have fun.

okay... what I say to people who put up this type of post is two fold...

1) the site gives you all the tools to make it work? so make it work for you?

for example:

Do you go in the forums? you said this was ya first post so the answer to that was no....

Do you go into to scottish chatroom and just "chat" as opposed to being a horndog and just asking everyone to meet?

Do you go to any of the various amounts of social and events that are organised?

if not.... why not???

you get out of the site what you put in to it.....

2nd point... profile..... sell yourself to people, what makes you stand out from everyone else? give people a reason to say "wow.. yes, I have to meet that person"....

the thing I say to people is this, stand back, look at your own profile...

knowing that someone could get hundreds of replies..would you answer your own ad?.....honestly!!!!

like I said at the beginning... the site does give all the things to make it work, if you decide not to make best advantage then you only have one person in the end to look at......

Got to say ive never been to a social meet (first one next month) but do frequent the chat rooms and forums, it took a while but ive had a few meets from here now, i think you just have to be open honest and non pushy and it will eventually happen and once it has it will happen more often as people get to know you
