TRUST IS A MUST ;-)

I know that it's the wicked world of the internet and everyone is supposed to be serial killing Axe murderers who wear their mothers clothes or some 11 year old whizzkid in nigeria asking for your bank details to send you a share of a billion dollars that he has to get out of the country, its my personal belief that there has to be some measure of trust displayed by either party hoping to arrange a meet as what's the point otherwise,now I know that there is ample reason to be wary of folk but I find a situation with a lack of mutual trust to be quite a turn off and at what point should folk take a leap of faith and break the vicious cycle of timewasting and hesitation that often occurs, I've had some rather weird and frustrating experiences on here as a results of "paranoid androids" but I still give folk the benefit of the doubt till they give me cause to think otherwise, how does everyone feel about trusting folk and what experiences have you had? x

Trust is a big thing. Think most on here have alot of trust meeting for the first time and would say have enjoyed the experiences that goes with it. Giving people the benefit of doubt untill they do something wrong is the the right thing to do. Only met one guy that disappointed me after meeting him several times but generally most have been a pleasure to meet xx

well said,I've given many people many chances and quite often its to no avail but on the odd occasion it pays off as there are some wonderful people and fun times to be had once folk overcome their shyness and trust issues x

I guess if you chat here and get to know a little bit about the person before meeting it's probably going to be fine, safer than going out on a sat night n getting full of the singing ginger and hooking up with some random person you know nothing about. The online 'serial killers' are out there too lol

B got burnt too many times so decided not to meet out side a club environment for her own safety and sanity lol. Too many people out for their own satisfaction which is fine but hardly reliable xx

No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

It takes a lot for me to let my guard down and totally trust someone 100% but when i do its usually someone i have a special bond with and that takes time to build upon.

Ive been let down by people i thought i could trust in the past and i have no intention of letting that happen again .

At the risk of repeating myself...though I am getting on this is what I recently said in another thread about trust....I firmly believe it. .............

None of us are perfect so naturally from time to time flaws in our character will lead us to let others in our lives down but also sometimes those around us can set ridiculously high unattainable standards. What one.person sees as "being let down" another may find perfectly acceptable. Friendship is all about give and take and puting ourselves in the other persons shoes...doing as you would be done by. Life is full of consequences and we should all take responsibility. When friends are perceived as letting us down i believe we should try to understand their actions rather than condemn. Having said that, everyone in my life gets a second chance with me...i might need one myself some day. But no one gets a third....and i wouldnt expect one either. "

ive had some people that ive met a bunch of times and gotten on with great only to have some weird scenario occur which makes me wonder how much i should really trust anyone from here....people are weird....you meet people,have a great time then folk start acting weird lol
