Does anyone else think its odd that parents take their to see santa ? Usually a stranger hiding their real identity behind a fake beard and a hoodie

no wonder kids get traumatised, its as bad as xmas jumpers

Good point!

Most kids are taught never to accept anything from strangers as well but it seems to be ok if that man is dressed in red, fat, jolly and with a fake white beard!

As a child i can well remember being terrified of Santa and finding something really sinister and unsettling about the whole thing. Couldnt at that time have told you what it was that i found so upsetting but now as an adult when i think about it the contradictions surrounding the "Santa" clause im amazed any of us survived without huge emotional damage. We were encouraged to talk to an oddly dressed stranger who we were told would enter our homes as we slept."he sees you when youre sleeping"...and that he knew if we had been good or bad and would respond accordingly. Luckily im over the trauma now....but only just!!! Ho Ho Ho......

A prospective parent being given a tour round a primary school in Edinburgh recently complained to police that there was a goli on a muriel in the school. The mural dated from the 1930's!! It was a montage of childrens story characters!!!
