"I believe that a lot of it is because people don't always let their true self be known . So getting to know someone , they let you see what they want you to see . But that's harder in the longer term to keep true self away from people you get to know and spend time with. I trust way to easily and show my true self to people I spend time with . When they let you down you think "i can't believe they did this" but had they shown true colours from off then you wouldn't be so shocked. Sometimes I have been lucky and have kept good people in my life , others I've been badly betrayed by . Will it stop me being me ? Nope damn right it won't . You've got to access who's worthy of another chance or who's worth the let downs. Everyone sees things from their own perspective . " Just read this, really nice post. From the heart x

"None of us are perfect so naturally from time to time flaws in our character will lead us to let others in our lives down but also sometimes those around us can set ridiculously high unattainable standards. What one.person sees as "being let down" another may find perfectly acceptable. Friendship is all about give and take and puting ourselves in the other persons shoes...doing as you would be done by. Life is full of consequences and we should all take responsibility. When friends are perceived as letting us down i believe we should try to understand their actions rather than condemn. Having said that, everyone in my life gets a second chance with me...i might need one myself some day. But no one gets a third....and i wouldnt expect one either. " jinty lovely post. As you say none of us is perfect. Me more then most have messed up on here. X

"To be fair as you know it is 50/50 that that person may possibly let you done...I am never bothered when it happens... You will find people that will never let you down...these are the true gems that help us through life...these are in every walk of life...clutch them close when you do find them... " so true some dont realise what they had until its gone . im also with jinty in saying just how many chances do you give someone when they let you down repeatedly before saying enoughs enough ?

If someone lets me down i do try to understand their reasons for it , rather than condemn . Life as i see it isn't always black and white . We make decisions as we see fit to be the best ones for us at that time . Sometimes they turn out well , other times they don't . Trusting for me ,isn't difficult , forgiving i can also do when i know someone didnt deliberately set out to hurt me . Id rather see someones good in them than the bad. Peoples tolerance is also very different as said above . what i accept others dont and how others behave think okay and i dont . Be a boring world if we were all the same
