who thinks that the idea of a swingers pub would work .

one where its not a club but an actual pub open to all and openly advocating the lifestyle. how much flak do you think it would attract?

just a pipedream or a real possibility ???

i thnk it would depend on where you open it and how it would be promoted , for example a sat night bunch of young blokes out and about feeling horny , now do they go to a club or are they going to be thinking "ahh a swingers pub , thats going to be full of easy women "etc etc , education about the swinger lifestyle could be achieved i suppose through an open door policy in a swinging event , although i do think it would cause more trouble than its worth lol just my opinion

Possibly a pipe dream.

Was working the Door of a pub one night when a couple came in.

The pub manager couldn't tell me quick enough that they were swingers and to keep an eye on them.

A drop dead gorgeous sat down beside them and after a drink they left.

The entire staff of the pub felt it necessary to rip the piss out of them the rest of the evening.

The other Door Steward with me had already told me he and his wife enjoyed a wee encounter from time to time with others and he looked disgusted at the staff.

So the idea of an exclusive pub for Swingers may meet with a bit of tongue in cheek slander from the Vanilla populace.

That just strikes me as sheer jealousy of the bar staff!!

The idea would be an unobtainable ideal I think Mr C . As previously stated the majority of the vanilla populace still treat swinging as a sleazy thing made to be riddiculed and those who enjoy it victimised and open to threats of blackmail etc.

Maybe once those with closed minds have a little more education it could become a reality.

Although if you were to think of a venue we have a vacant pub in kirkcaldy just now lol

the sad way the world is, if people are scared of it, intimitated by it etc, the solution is to take the piss out of it in groups...then go home alone and fantasize about it

prettynginger kinda summed it up!

i suppose if it wasnt advertised in big neon lights outside and attracted clientelle by word of mouth it might work but personally having run ordinary pubs im no sure how it would work but hey if tonites lottery numbers come up il give it a try!! xx

anywhere

think it would be a total disaster.objections on licences and hassle for dps from councils and police would not be worth the bother and thats without the hassle of d*unken yobs at weekends.how many people on here would like their private life to become totally public because that is what you are asking a publican to do.we like to keep our private life private

Thanks for all the comments - Am kinda thinking that the UK is not ready

for such a place but find it so annoying that other countries seem to have a much more open minded approach to such matters.

ah well back to the drawing board lol

if only a pub where like minded ppl could meet and get to know each other withoout the fear of being overheard would be ideal, but alas think uk is so stuck up that it will never happen xxxxxxxxxxxxx

while not an official "swingers" pub there is a place in Glasgow where we often meet for social drinks in groups, the owner is a grt guy and I'm sure he knows what we are all into but he seems open minded enough and as long as there's no humping in the bar its all good lol.

We even use the same bar to meet other cpls for drinks prior to meeting for fun.

I did get excited once when flyers on the table advertised a "swing sunday" alas it was an afternoon of Brat pack songs pmsl

The ironic thing is that there are plenty of pubs in Glasgow that are well know as places to pull but that's deemed "socially acceptable"!

Where is the place to pull now in this post-Clatty's era?! Did anywhere ever take up its mantle?

its been a notion of mine for a while mad hun but truth be told i still think a private club is the way to go .

s just that it would be nice to have a social type of place that is allways open(well pub hours).

i suppose a licensed club / pub could be opened but it would take a lot of tweeking to get the right formula. also i dont think a place on the high street would suit as much as a place on its own .

sorry to but a swingers pub would be pipedream clubs are ok as you have control of memberships

for a few years have thought a swingers hotel in more rurel setting with bar attached would work with a high quilty of service and food in hotel the bar would be open to all with the understanding it was for social side only

also staffing a worry would have to be controled
