In light of last nights major accident, do many folk on here give blood?

Seems the blood banks are "adequate" at the moment but keeping an eye on the "Give Blood for Scotland" Facebook page

I'd gladly give blood but unfortunately I can't due to having a blood transfusion.

Its always this time of year where people are too busy to give but hopefully most will.

If it was easy for me to get blood taken I would but I get pricked and prodded for ages just trying to find a vein. I'm useless.

I'm ashamed to say I haven't given blood and probably won't.

I have a life long fear if needles and can't be anywhere near them as a tend to get a bit jumpy in fear I will get stuck with one.

I have great admiration for anyone that gives regularly and only hope that one day I can get over my fear and can do my bit.

Regularly give blood and have done for years. Great way to lie back and relax for a wee while knowing what you are doing can save lives. Great staff working there as well.
