Of being a fat cow.

I couldn't fit into a beautiful evening ball dress for Ian's Christmas work function and I've decided tonight that enough is enough.

I've always been a big girl and called myself bubbly, laughed at myself first before others can etc... so with that I'm on a mission to lose weight and be healthy no more eating crap do more exercise and not fundraise on my arse and do nothing.

In the past I've done slimming world lost almost 3stone but slowly have put it (not all) back on.

So there it is, I'm on my own mission to get fit and healthy not only for me but my family.

Good for you and good luck, although from what ive seen in your pics you no fat cow!

But I know how you feel, sometimes you get so pissed off with yourself, and Johns words of wisdom are.... you are what you are!!

Sometimes I think hes right, other times I dont. We've lost nearly 3 stone each and I still feel like a fat cow, John looks great! (bastard!)

Just do whats right for you, theres no point killing or starving yourself.

Good luck, any pointers pass them on, but im not giving up the wine!!

Best way to keep weight off will be to have a fitness buddy...swim, walk ride a bike...but increase distance...every week...and do not forget the importance of a day of rest...and eat less as you get older...

Good luck Charlie

Whilst I agree with Wendy, just cut back a little and it will fall off - everything in moderation

(Well, nearly everything - sexercise is good for you in copious amounts!! )

good luck

dropped 4 stone over the last couple of years myself . low carbs and high protein has worked for me . no white bread.pasta or rice . cut out potatoes and junk food . lots of chicken turkey beef fish and lean meat . eggs . odd bit of wholemeal bread or rice but prefer cous cous . green veg . and protein shakes or smoothies .

toss in regular exercise and it will fall off . I do boxing fitness twice a week . loads of cycling . and usualky another class be it kettlebells .trx or a gym session . even getting out a good walk does the world of good and build the distance steadily . set a goal like a charity run in 6 months and work towards it . also believe progress pics help motivate you.

if you dont like starting over stop giving up

good luck with it all Charlie it's not easy. Just go at your own pace.

Word of advice tho, an aquaintance of mine recently went from a massive 23 stone down to 11 after a gastric band operation. Whilst he now looks considerably better and doesn't get the "2nd look" he is now suffering from depression!!!

It seems that having lost the weight he's also lost his identity as he is now treated differently from before!

Have discovered this is quite common when there is a change to someones habits since people know people for what they are not just who they are.

Not saying for a minute that your attempts are that extreme but something to be aware of!

Thanks you two. I only know the effects (good ones though) of this as both my mum and aunty have had gastric bypasses done. That was there last resort's and I don't ever want to get to that stage.

Good on you stay positive, try a high protein low carb diet you will be amazed at how much you can eat and still lose a lot of weight, 1st lesson eat only one slice of bread or a roll per day, full of Carbs and that's what puts on weight, try stay around 25 /30 Grams of carbohydrate per day good luck.
