Just browsing over the threads, not enough heated debates lately and a lacking of controversy.

Shame that its all mellow posts with the odd rant.

WHY do the forums lack in these types of posts? ???

Fear of admin or people not wanting to out themselves as wee scamps and if we appear nice on here then more chance of a ride?????

A good debate is always good, but then you get ones who just want to have digs at others to get their points of _iew across and that's when they tend to get a bit out of hand sadly.

I'm VERY sarcastic. Some understand my humour, some don't, which is why I don't bother commenting on anything with certain people that have sticks so far up their own arses they can't take a joke..

Some can take a joke from other forum users whilst others get banned for having the same bit of light hearted banter with them.

In certain cases the sick up their arse needs to be rammed up further....hard!!

Its probably because most of the debates get too personal with some people using them as a way to have a pop at others

....Or there are half a dozen posts in the middle of the "serious debate" by a few posters flirting/changing subject etc which tbh bores the hell out of me and then I can be assed reading or commenting anymore

....Or the fact the forum regulars dont like it when other people ie non regulars comment or post and feel the need to be quite nasty FOR EXAMPLE .. couple weeks ago a non regular posted up they were leaving and if any folk they had met wanted to keep in touch pm for his mobile number ....replies were on the lines of "so what just leave" "dont let the door hit you on the way out" etc etc etc ...Last week a regular forum poster posted exactly the same and those same people commented with "awww gonna miss you" "keep in touch" "not the same without you" etc etc etc ...

This of course is my opinion and no doubt differs from many others!!!

The forums are pretty clique and I think users try to bite their tongues. Maybe because there's more socials etc now there's more chance of bumping into someone you've offended on here.

My humour is very cutting n sarcastic so it doesn't come across well typed or with people I don't really know although I'm not one to get offended very easily

100% agree.

Nothing better that a controversial angry, ranting, he said what, I don't think so, prove it you lying bass, you're talking pish, roll up my sleeves and get comfortable, it's all about to kick off...,.thread....

And why do the mods pull these thread just when they are getting interesting...

I'm very active on a work related forum and you should see some of the barnies that kick off in there....

Here it's all so nicey nicey.....

Nothing I like better than when a single guy starts off a controversial post.....and all hell breaks loose...

Love it....

I only recently started using the forum, and have had some mixed responses. Mostly friendly and welcoming, sometimes people seem a bit confontational.

have also at times noticed the cliquey element, although i dont think its always intentional.

as for it being too nice, is that not just a reflection on the way the world is now. The PC way we are expected to live by trying to not cause offence to anyone.
