Their best album was "listen like thieves"

IMHO

A far superior album to kick which was extremely commercialised....

Still got my vinyl copy, love the moment when the needle touches record and you get that crackle before the first track starts. Gives it a sense of character.

Was never a fan but 'Just Keep Walking' from their first album is all right.

Pop Rock style on their later albums is all about bit limp for me.

Lanarkshire

All veils and misty

Streets of blue

Almond looks

That chill divine

Some silken moment

Goes on forever

And we're leaving broken hearts behind

Superb album !

Both are good albums but listen like thieves is the best. They played songs from the album during live aid, that was the first time I had heard them. I was hoping they were going to feature in the recent 40th anniversary live aid tv program but sadly they didnt. Saw them at the SECC in 1991.

Most of their stuff overly produced and marketed for MTV.

Their first album showed some promise but then they went too Poppy and mainstream...

Yes that’s right, I remember thinking that the sound wasn’t great for JJ. You hear right here right now all the time on the radio in the USA, love that song.
