It turns out tonight is the Music of Black Origin Awards in the newly-opened Hydro in Glasgow.

Had anyone noticed?

"Nope and couldn't care less "

That seems to be the prevailing attitude around Glasgow.

"Apparently back in glasgow due to the success of previous ones staged here."

I believe it's because Glasgow offers more money for the 'honour' of hosting it.

I my defence, I had to be told by a pal whose street is always badly affected by people seeking free parking when there's big events on at SECC/ Armadillo/ Hydro.

I had a front row platinum table, took along my daughter and her friends. Red carpet treatment, champangne and canapes on arrival and wine throughout the show. All followed by a trip to the after show party with the performers and the like. This was a treat for my daughter who has just undergone a mastectomy due to breast cancer. She desrerved it and everyone loved the show. JIM

Its interesting to note the fact that a considerable number of folk have expressed a lack of interest in "music of black origin" which is like saying that you like your tea without teabags lol
