the friday meet .....asbo time lol

firstly thank you to all those that made the night possible..(fantastic night)

but.. as it was my first time at the meet we where a little suprised on how many ppl didnt come over and say hi or just introduce them selfs .i dont no do u need to earn your stripes to become part of the pack. i dont mean this to be rude or to affend but we wasnt the only new couple there and this point was brought to our attention a few times through the night. now how is it we can stick naked pic up and say funny and dirty things to each other in chat but we cant shake hands or cuddle to meet face to face .....isnt the reason we all went was that it is called a "social nite"this is not a bitch this was an oberservation .come guys next time get off ya asses and go talk to strangers i meet some fantastic ppl there and had a great nite but i wished id meet u all ........once again this isnt a bitch or an attack so please no nasty comments. put ya self in our shoes us new commers .... have a nice day lol

As u know ozzy i did cum n say hi n also introduced u to D from nina n D and took D around everyone n introduced him to everyone as hes never done a social either ......

i think at the end of the day its up to ppl themself to go around at socials and introduce themselfs to ppl but do know it can b daunting if uve never been to one before i guess it just depends how out going u r or how shy u r .....

but for my social in july im going to ask ppl to try and sit beside ppl they dont know rather than their friends as this way everyone gets to meet new ppl

and maybe even playmates for the future xxxxxx

lol Ozzy no offence taken at all by your post xxx I tried to go round the room ( whilst I could still see ) and still missed folks xxx so to all folks I didna say hi to ...... a huge 'Hi'

and for the those....... I was the one wi the baldy heed and breeks roond ankles and pissed....

ffs - if a had to go round the whole room and say hi the bar would be shut lol.

People at their 5th or 6th social still get very nervous xx

It's a party and as with everything in life u get out it what u put in xxxx

Think a seen u outside Ozzy but you never said hi lol xx

I can see where you're coming from but we mingled & met quite a few people for the first time. I suppose these nights really are what you make of them. Some couples have already chatted on-line & use the socials as an initial meet opportunity, so they tend not to mingle much. Others tend to treat it as a get together with old friends, rather than meet new ones & still others use them as an excuse for a piss-up! lol

but so far we've found everyone to be warm & welcoming,

Hi Ozzycpl I indeed had the pleasure of chatting to you and ur beautiful wife but i was lucky as our seats were behind each other .. i even got a dance or 2 from ur wife .. it was nice to meet you after chatting in the room and i got to chat to a few others but i know there was alot more to say hi to. i was very nervus with it being my first social also .. so will make an effort at next social... gr8 nite / joosi xxxxxxx

I was a bit of a social animal meeting loads and loads of folk for the first time and still didn't get round everybody.

Although being a Swingle Male you never actually know if folk are OK talking to you or not!

hi there firstly really enjoyed meeting peeps from the room @social but know exactly were ozzys comming from did find lots of peeps were friendly n said hi but felt same some peeps who chat n have laugh with in room didnt say hi i did get of my arse n tried to mingle n say hi to everyone soz if i missed anyone take care xxxx sophie n stevie

If I had another pair of legs I'd have got round the room faster!

Seriously I tried to chat and say hi and hug as many people as I could to make them feel welcome and more relaxed.

No matter if it's the first or fifteenth social attended, nerves are the same for everyone it's what you put into it that determines what you get out of it.

Lots of people there said "Hi Laine, chatted with you in the room" and that was it ice broken...friendships made, I was recognisable as I have my cam on my face whenever chatting on site.

I for one would like wee name badges to wear so that I have more of a clue, many have usernames, profile names and real names to confuse me with and if they never show a face in pics or on cam how are we supposed to guess!

Thanks to all old and new friends who made the social such a happy event xxxxxxxxxxx p.s. I was the skinny one in the black dress pink shoes and under Larry for the press-ups.

i agree with laine. name badges would be a good idea. i for one when at a social is very shy (mrs hedo lol no mr ) and find it very hard to approach strangers and say hi , i seem to get all tongue tied and embarress myself.so if there was name badges you would at least know who you are talking to and it wouldnt be so nerve wracking.well for me anyway lol

thank u all who replyed and agree with some would be far easyer if u knew who was how and again i know how big the night was and the success that came from it. i think its better to put some thing out for all to read this way our monitors who havent read this lol hahaha can get some ideas to make it easyer for ppl to put a name to a face

The only trouble with name badges are venues don't know what we do as a lifestyle choice. Can u imagine us all wearing name tags........strange looks inside the venue from staff and the smokers going outside could possibly get hassels from passers-by. Name bagdes not a good idea but that just my view.

As this was NOT a social and labelled as just a night out, Larry and I didn't feel the need to introduce anyone to anyone else. However, there was, on occasions, when we knew that the person(s) arriving were new to the social side of things we did ask them if they wanted us to introduce them to people. Ozzy, I do believe that we asked you and your wife if you wanted us to introduce you around and you both said no.

Also, as you will have seen from last friday night, Larry and I were incredibly busy. I didn't get the chance to speak to half the people there once they had walked in the door. In fact, I think Larry and I barely said more than a dozen words to each other by the time the night came to a close and most people were leaving.

I do hope that you had a good night even though you feel you should have been introduced to people. Unfortunately, there is only so many things a person can do at a time and unless we are asked at the time there isn't much we can do to address the issue after the night.

As fife says, if you want to meet and chat then you have to make the effort to.

It was our first time also attending a night out with evryone,knowbody knew who we were and although Spicie joined in with everything i myself felt kinda lost as i knew nobody,thankfully cumplaywithme took me under her wing and introduced me to loads of wonderful friends.I at least got lucky and had a ball getting to meet everyone.We didnt sit down all night as we never had a seat but at least standing by the buffet was a great place to make conversation!

Well, I for one was sober as a judge and more nervous than a nervous thing holidaying at Nervous Heights in Nervous-ville. Ended up having a great time though! Felt a bit like taking a plunge into the unknown, and did feel a bit strange at first with all these people you "kinda" know, but the nerves did start to disappear (probably around the point I was accosted by Mrs Kemea and Mrs EK, you naughty, naughty girls... :-0 )

Thanks to Jacs, got introduced to almost everyone there - very intimidating, but was soon made to feel at ease. It would be impossible to spend time chatting to everyone you wanted to chat to (Joosi! Fifelass! Scorps!), but spent an enjoyable few hours in the company of Juicy and Spicey, Jacs, the Kemeas, MandT, and EK Couple, to name but a few. Oh aye, and View as well

Hope to get to a few more parties, WITH Nina this time, and get to know even more of you.

Once again, congrats on a great night Lil and Larry!

Well it was the first time for us going to a 'social'. I have admit i was very nervous going into it. As we all chat in the chat room, which is really handy to get to know people, but you never 'really' get to know the people you talk to until you meet them.

Before the party i kinda made an ass of myself thinking that Jo (JandS) would recognise me when i said hi as i waved to her at the bar of hotel, but it took a few seconds. But once she realised i felt a little embarrased but hey ho, got roll with the punches,

The night was great, we fell in with ekcouple and had a chance to meet lil and larry prior to it kicking off.

As people arrived we kinda just introduced ourselves to people. But i have to say that on more than one occasion people came upto me and said 'i know you' or 'mr kemea' or 'kev'.

i kinda feel that nights like these are what you make of them, you kind need to out yourself out there to introduce yourselves to people..........

We noticed that D was by himself so the Mrs Ek and Mrs K just grabbed him and dragged him across and if i remember rightly while the ladies danced round hand bags, me,d and mr ek danced round our beers lol

anyhoot great night had by us and i think a lot of people, thanks again Larry and Lil
