Do you think the social side of swinging is as important as the sex side ? ..we came into this thinking it was just for the sex side but have found we love the social side just as much now maybe because we have met so nice of people ...what's your thoughts ?

It's a big part for me and my man. We love meeting couples for a drink a good chat and flirt before we get stuck in. It adds to the excitement. X

The social side can kinda take over we found then it ends up you have loads laughs and no sexual fun.....it's finding a good balance

we love going to socials, its a great way to meet new people and put faces to names! and it also saves us doing a social meet before a private meet, so after all that......yes we think is just as important, and we enjoy them!!!

Initially after joining we attended most socials they used to be good fun and if anything happened after them it was a bonus to the evening. However, now we do not attend socials due to them going way downhill (in our opinion) so prefer now to just meet for the sex.

As a single woman, the socials in Fife and Dundee were a great way for me to meet new people and also put faces to names after chatting in Old chat and now new. I have always had a great laugh and am looking forward to many more.

Years ago yes as socials were an excellent mix of sociable people , the last one we attended was like a golden oldie evening of obese people (it wasnt pleasant .

We loved the social nights out the banter the flirting the after partys ,how the years have changed.

Its not important, by that i mean i bet a heck of a lot of people initially gain a curiosity in the idea of swinging first off. Then you hear of social events etc, and then you choose to check one out or not.

Not for us. We already have a busy social life and for us (i.e. speaking about us specifically, not for anyone else

) it seems pointless to socialise with people just on the basis of our sexual habits. That's not to criticise those who do as I can see how it can be a positive thing for some. We do always have a social meet and a night out with people we meet for fun though.

i originally came for the sex (who didn't!!!) and stayed very much for the social side of the scene...

so much so I will choose a bloody good social over a club visit because you get to see people in a normal atmosphere.... I almost see is as "try before you buy!"....

Was it important? Priority number 1 when you first ever thought about trying swinging?

Im guessing with a lot of people, the sex was, the trying something you've never done before, creating an erotic situation, ticking a few (not done that yet) boxes.

Lets try swinging we can make lots of friends, was'nt the priority initialy perhaps.

I have to say when I first joined, not having a clue at all about the swinging life, socials were certainly not part of it, but after being introduced to a social from a Fab friend, I've never looked back, either socially or for meets. So a win win for me.

Defo up for the social side but on chatting to one couple and swapping pics we told them they were not our type, we said we were still up for chatting but they swiftly removed us from their friends list! hey ho each to their own as they say!

Obviously we all joined here for the same thing but somewhere along the way we found new things and intrests ie socials and clubs.

As individuals we all choose to do what we enjoy some like socials some don't .

Been on and off the site for many years now and only this year have I done the socials thing. Never thought I would enjoy it but it's one of my favourite things to do now as I find it hard to get along with people in the 'vanilla' world.

The great thing about socials is you can meet people you wouldn't normally meet on your own for fun but have your mind changed. There's several lads I've not met for fun because they've been too old/short/yadayada but have gone out for drinks and got along really well and gone on to have fun.

Never imagined there would be so many things related to fab when I joined. Was same as everyone else was about sexual experiences for me . I have met some amazing people , made lifelong friends and had so many laughs I never expected to have. Socials are definitely a huge part of things for me now and ideal place for lots of my friends to all be in the one place and gel.
