We've all got them. Relatively unknown songs. Usually album tracks.

Songs that floor us because they hit that special spot.....when we are feeling low....or high....And they have something in the lyrics....or chord changes...

I have two for when I'm mellowing with a malt....

Mark Knopfer's "Are we in trouble now"

Ryan Adams's " I love you....but I'd don't know what to say"

Just two old fashioned slabs of country schmaltz......

Don't care....you just cannot beat a bit of country...

My favourite song ever & the most special song in my life is an album track never released as a single on an album that didn't really set the world on fire. Feel free to ask what it is. I'm not revealing it in an open forum. It's too special for that.

Other than that I'll never get bored of listening to Carry Me Ohio by Sun Kil Moon, the untitled track at the end of Aereogramme's Sleep & Release album is also amazing. Gives me visions of sweeping Scottish mountain scenery. love it!
