Going off some posts I've seen the past few days and my curious little brain got thinking.....

Would you advertise on here for tradesmen to do things around your house for payment in kind?

I wouldn't cos I've never met a workman

yet that I'd look twice at lol

No to me personally that would feel almost like prostitution. Plus I'm yet to find a tradesmen without a horrible hairy crack and bad b.o ( no offence anyone ;-p )

ive sometimes used the forums or the site to ask the advice of tradesmen, what a rough idea of costs would be etc so that i dont get ripped off when i get quotes for the work to be done

I recently put a post up looking for a tradesman, never seen so many of the one trade in one day via messages , the minute it was clear it was not for sexual favours it started to dwindle

If tou want a botched up job done and left feeling like a ten bob whore then why not

I'm glad its not just me who sees it that way but I didn't quite put it straight to the point lol

I'm a single lass who knows how to use a screwdriver (pardon the pun) haha! But when it comes to the 'plumbing' I know who and how to ask

Never been offered that option, although most of my homers have been awful jobs for family or friends, so mostly done the work for nothing Although a mechanic isn't really a job that can be paid for in "favours" or what not, with the cost of parts etc I'd be losing money!
