Not flashy or 5 star but I like the Oban Bay Hotel in yes you've guessed it Oban

Can also recommend the Loch Fyne Hotel in Inveraray.

Dunno if holiday inn in edinburgh is far enough away from central belt for you,just had a fantastic long weekend there with friends

Nae limits log cabins google it nice and chilled weekend food is amazing in the country and not too far from uz

We are all booked up for a weekend in blackpool on 18-20th October with fab friends at the Paradise hotel and a visit to infusions on the Saturday! Never been before but sounds fun
