vanilla? ??

People often use the term vanilla to describe others or their friends, im not saying they use the term in a negative way, but how do you know they are? How do you know that when they are coming to visit you that they are not talking to others and referring to you as vanilla???? Just what if????

That's a very good point, we dont all talk to all and sundry about our sex lives and fantasies so what we do hear from people may only just be what they feel comfortable sharing...not what they actually get up to lol. Saying that, i find the word 'kinky' a wee bit over used on this and other sites

Yep, some people with this choice of lifestyle may think they are unique, but as they sit or mingle in company with their secret then just think for a minute what secret these vanilla people may also have in common with yourselves. You may or not be open about it and neither may they. Funny wee world.

People call me judgemental but will use this term loosely. I hate it too. And I would also like to take this opportunity to confirm. "I am judgemental" and honest...lol

yes listening to some folk you would think that they feel they are being really out there in the left field in my own experiance so called vanilla folk are more sexually liberated and most of my mulitiple encounters have come from that avenue as opposed to on here

Yes, if I ever feel the need to feel vanilla, FL definitely puts things in perspective.

I am very open with my friends and know, by conversations and body language, that they are certainly in the vanilla category.

One friend keeps saying that the group sex and my kinks are something I "will grow out of" as if it is some kind of phase I'm going through before finding a nice girl and settling down to monogamy.

Is this not kinda similar to those random posts, where folk say they are walkin round asda suddenly pondering who in the shop might be swingers? I dont, where in the great scheme of things might you get a chance to ask? Customer services?

Thats my point...^^^^^how do you know they are being honest? ?? I say things like that to work colleagues but I know different. Just becsuse someone says something this does not guarantee the way they are.

Sure some people say they are horrified when some sexual conversation arises..but are they really or do they just want people not to know?

Sorry, I meant if your wrongly labelling people and your lifestyle isn't exclusive to you or others you know are the only ones. I see what you mean and now ive wrote that I can understand. Not meant as be suspicious of everyone. Just dont be quick to judge or label....cos you never know.

Little do they know, hubby "gets a shot" on the computer, just to deal with x amount of mail, she's actually not interested in 99% of mail, but its fun for them to sift through it all i guess. So, yes, poor single males, misslead, hoping for a chance of a fun time at some point !!
