I had a guy turn up near my old flat, after stating I did not want to meet him and I got reported for being a timewaster.

This subject comes up all the time and the answers remain the same. There are different definitions of what is a time waster. Whatever they are, chalk it up to experience, look at your selection criteria to see if it needs changing, block the individuals concerned and above all move on.

Definition of a "time waster" from the urban dictionary:

A person who either consciously or unconsciously tries to engage you in a fruitless investment of your energy, time, money or attention. These people can be "takers" or simply abject individuals. The truth is that engaging in these types of interactions is an act of free will on our part so each of us can only blame ourselves for getting sucked in once again.

Says it all I feel...even with the unfortunate use of the phrase "sucked in".....

I had a timewaster then I got a whole load of text abuse and threats on my phone. They threatened to give my photos to my wife. I will not give my photo out now. And I am very unsure about meeting in public now. I prefer to meet at houses discreetly now. I reported them to the website that they were on and they did nothing. We need a name and shame page and a removal process from the website to ensure genuine people are here.

same as ive said a hundred times before (possibly more) if your time is being wasted try looking to yourself its your selection processes that bring you into contact with what you deem as a timewaster its easy to shift blame simple fact you choose them you change it

Maybe have a look at yourself and your selection process if you have a process...having been on this scene for over 10yrs i have never had a problem with timewasters anyone i have agreed to meet has turned up...now over soo many yrs that cant be just down to luck

Now on your point on naming and shaming......

I decide i dont like you or someone else ...put on my status and in forum that you are a complete timewaster and other untruths giving you a bad name on here.......even tho we have never spoke ....see where im going here ...to be honest if anyone is not man enuff to take the bad with the good on here...they shouldnt be here...just my opinion

Yip. Some people seem to think folk who wont meet them are timewasters. If they have continually stated theyll meet and continually come up with excuses or if theyve arranged a meet a dont show then id maybe say theyre timewasters but not just because they dont want to consider meeting me
