My dad told us haggis was a timorous beastie that lived in the wilds it had two short front legs and two long hind legs.. When we went out long walks he would offer money to the one who spotted it first.. Needless to say we kids never did get the prize money.. RIP daddy we laugh to this day about it..

Got told to ask for left handed trousers. I didn't do it as I thought it was a windup until I found out that I really should have asked for them as it was genuine.

Mum my telling me that salmon was "deep sea cod"

Apparently they lived at the bottom of the sea and had to swim harder to keep up with all the other fish and that why they were pink.

I find like eating pink fish.

She only told me the truth when I was 18!
