I'd agree that the GTR is hard to beat... but a case could perhaps be made for something like the new Jaguar XFRS? Or the FSports. Jag are doing some lovely cars right now.

I'd have to say the 2013 audi a3, beautiful inside and outside and you don't have to sell your body to afford one

I would say the nissan gtr, it out performs cars two and three times its price and the level of engineering is jaw dropping. Even impressed clarkson! Certainly very tough to beat.

Today the gtr, or the Audis are getting a good name - but Dacia are doing wonders in the 'value' car market. Tidy looking wee cars too, and the duster was voted best bargain car by Top Gear.

I've almost done 100k in my A6 Avant Quattro and I'm not looking forward to shelling out ££££££ for a new one. The Jag XF Sportbrake is about half the price of the Audi but is it half the car?

Honda Type R has to be the best value on the market today, sensibly priced, totally reliable, comfort, economy and 0-60 in 5.8 secs, top speed 145 mph, what else can you ask for and never breaks down

They aren't currently making a Type R I thought? Isn't it still in development?

Mazda MPS for the win anyway...

SEAT- A Spanish car brand, is part of the VW range, so they must be a half decent car by and large. Mazda is owned by Ford, does that make it any less appealing, I don't think so.

just my humble opinion

Whilst that might very well be true, it kinda misses the point.
