FabSwingers.com forum: No profile pics!

We've recently had a spate of messages asking "if we're interested in a meet" from people with no pics on their profile (public & private galleries). As a solution some have offered to privately e-mail us some images however;

A. These will of course not be verified.

B. This makes it even more awkward to say "thanks but no thanks" should we decide to not want to take things any further.

Now don't get me wrong, it's always flattering to be contacted & I'm certainly not typing this as a 'rant', (we are after all, still fairly new to the scene ourselves!) but as a piece of friendly advice to site newcomers... please, please, please give some thought to adding pics to your profile!

Oh, & the more honest the pics= the more genuine the replies. As you'll be far less likely to dissapoint/have your time wasted when you meet the other parties!

At the end of the day, we're all hear to have fun- so let's make it easy on each other,

We always refuse them, mainly because of point B above. Would be kinda embarrasing agreeing to chat etc and then having to say no thanks if we didn't find them attractive.

no reason not to have pics on here, all you have to do is black out the eyes or similer, i realise its not the same as being verified, but how many cpls profiles dont actaully have cpls in the pics lol. always find it funny when ppl are in such professional jobs that they cant post pics,i realize this is a touchy subject, but no reason for no pics

Cant understand why people dont put pics on their profile, if they dont want everyone to see the pics...hey private gallery. If someone recognises you why worry? they are on here too.

My rule of thumb is simply if there is no pics in either public or private gallery then no meet. If there is only cock pics then hell no I have my own cock thank you I know what one looks like.

I dont expect everyone to show face pics but it is nice to get some idea of what the other person looks like before meeting.

i hate gettin messages from folk with no pics there is no excuse for it, hide you face or put them on private,

they are lazy or just time wasters,

Everyone knows this site is top heavy with single guys, but every one of you guys have something to offer its just a case of selling yourself. Make an effort with your profiles, put bit of thought into it and try and stamp your personality. Also post some pics, oh and not just cock pics again make an effort and show some imagination rather than just a cock pic with an unkept room in background, you know the ones with mug of tea and half eaten slice of toast on coffee table and your dirty washing thrown in corner. Show youve made a bit of an effort and you may just reep the rewards

To add a "single male" perspective to this, I also get annoyed at people who contact me with no profile pic. Sorry, I'm just not compelled to communicate with somebody who apparently wants to show and share everything with me but isn't brave enough to put at least some kind of picture up online! That counts for women as well as couples. (There's a bit of a rant on my profile about this

)

However, something I don't do is put face pics up on the site, not even in a private gallery. That probably makes me a hypocrite, but it's for professional reasons, and there's just too much risk involved in somebody finding those pictures, even by accident. That said, I'm not one to show somebody my face pic and expect to be in their bed that night, so it's never been a big deal.

I kinda have to agree with what is being said.

Most photos on our profile are of me and only a couple of my hubby, and neither of us are showing our faces! I agree that everyone on here is in theory looking for the same thing but in the two weeks we've been members we have come across photo collectors and time wasters.

And dont know what we'd do if friends or family were to stumble on our profile is we had face pics!!!

When we get a message from someone without photos we reply (after all, it takes a couple of mins and is just polite) but dont hold our breath.

If you are on here for a real reason then you should not be so shy as to not have a single pic up!!

Only problem there is when you tend to reply with a no thanks to every email you recieve these filters are useless for everyone who has contacted you previously.

We agree no excuse for not having face pics on your public profile. If the people without profile pics are affraid they may get recoginsed on here then the people that recognise on here are doing the same thing.

We state clearly on our profile that no pic no reply but yet guys still contact us and when we dont reply to them they get upset and send angry messages.

i dont strictly agree with this, there are many people who cannot show face pics on their main profile for work reasons - school teachers for example as the lifestyle is somewhat frowned upon by people who dont know much about it. My example of a 'school teacher' also brings me onto my next point that not everyone is on the site for the same thing - somewhere there has to be teenagers/guys, people in general just bored looking to see if they can find anyone they know. This could in effect ruin careers??

i do agree people should upload pics but there any many things that can be done to hide identities, i dont see anything wrong with that.

In the world of swinging it can be a very very small world...and you dont know who else you may know also maybe using the site......trust me !! Also not everyone is discrete and confidetial !! So no i dont agree atall everyone should have face pics atall....cerrtainly not on the public profile section.

out of our experience, we have asked members who donot have face pics on their public profile to see them or to send them to us in private. A lot of the times when they send them, the head or face pic does not match the body on their public profile, diffrent skin tones larger head for slim body they say they have tatoos then they send a pic and as if by magic no tatoos! Thats why we like to see a full face with preferbly body pic.

Its a shame that there are A LOT of guys that pretend they are couples or single girls and are only on for chat and a wank. We are sure most people on here are genuine ;O)

Sorry forgot to say that if people have a job like school teachers would it not be better for them to join a site where you have to pay to sign up? this might discourge people from looking up profiles for the fun?!

even pay sites have time wasters....pic colleceters, wannabe swingers etc.....and also in pay sites you still run the risk of bumping into people you may know who are not disrete and confidential and blab!

we dont have face pics on our main profile but the photos we have in private are the same photos but without our heads cropped off.

there are lots of ways to prove someone is real - recently we had someone offer to take a picture while holding a poster with our user name/the date to prove she was genuine. maybe ppl could ask for this if they think someone is fake and dont want to give out msn?

We have asked people on numerous occasions if they would write something down on paper, in the 6 months or so we have been on Fabswingers only 1 person has ever done it and he still wanted to send it to our msn!
